I would give this a 5 start if they took the barley wine off the tap list hehe :)

I had just recently moved to the area and decided to try Halcyon Brewing - awesome atmosphere, great beers, and amazing food! The bartender at the time, Will, was very welcoming and friendly! I really appreciated him taking the time to give a beer recommendation based on my preferences (highly recommend the rice lager) and introduced my friends and I to Tuesday Trivia (also highly recommend). Would definitely be a spot to try out if you haven't yet!

Great staff, great food, great beer.

The beer tender who was accused of being racist is actually one of the nicest and most accepting human beings in the world. It's too bad the people came in right before closing and assumed the worst. I also won't repeat the hateful things the reviewers said about him.

Have been coming here consistently for the Tuesday trivia and love the environment and their beer/food selection! One of their bartenders, Will, is awesome and is always welcoming and a fun guy to talk to. He also always has great recommendations if you’re looking to try something new. As the weather gets warmer check out their patio too!

Loved the atmosphere and the service. I had the Seattle Dog and it was excellent. I’m a big IPA fan so I tried the Sky Dance Hazy IPA. I thought it was great! Would definitely try this place again.

The beer is so good! Only Good Vibes session IPA is legit.

That chub dude wearing a gray hat and hoodie gives off such a bad and racist vibe. We came in and said hello politely, no greeting back, he just stared at us looking very annoyed. We ordered and got our beer and he didn’t say a single word through the whole interaction. We thought he might just have a bad day and sat down. Interestingly, he greeted every other group that came in after us, had some small talks, and at least thanked them after they paid. When it was 15 minutes before closing time, that dude said harshly that "we are closing" and told us to leave, but he said "sorry guys but we are ready to close" when two white guys came in right after. I guess it's not hard for him to say hello, thank you, and sorry or just be a decent human being in general. I'm not one to bring race into conversations, but I can't help but wonder if we were treated differently because we're Asian, especially considering every other group here is white. The lack of racial diversity among the customers is also quite noticeable. So one advice for the owner, just put a sign in front saying no people of color allowed to save everyone the trouble. There are tons of breweries around, no one has to come here.

The appetizers are very tasty. The drinks are pretty good and it’s a good place to spend your Friday nights to spend time with friends.

I was visiting Seattle for the week and looking for a local brewery. My friend and I found this little hidden gem. Excellent selection of beers and the hot dogs were quite delicious. Oh, and trivia night was a blast!

Halcyon has delicious hotdogs, great double fried fries, and beer's that pair well the food offered their menu.I want to especially call out the delicious OKONOMIYAKI DOG, the combo of tempura flakes, miso sauce, and style of hot dog that causes cognitive flavor dissonance. I never thought a combo could be that great.Thank you also for the warm, friendly, and very open environment. Even with a party taking up the back space, there is a seat for everyone, and I look forward to heading back.

Great brews and food.

Atmosphere is decent, bartender was nice, beer was subpar. If you can't make a decent pilsner you will have a hard time making good beer at all.

Almost never stop at breweries who don't do table service, certainly not for a second drink. Will (the bartender) changed my mind. Beyond gracious and helpful. Will gladly come back.

Douchy millennial/gen Z transplant gentrifier bar makes me miss the unpretentious vibe of the old naked city, thankfully plenty of other selections nearby.
