This is not a review but a lament prompted by news of their closure--Half and Half had truly exceptional doughnuts, and that is not an accolade given lightly. The Bananas Foster will be forever close to my heart and I truly hope Christine and co. find a new home soon here in Seattle.

Best old fashioned donuts I've ever had, been many many times. So sad they are gone now. Sign in window, permanently closed.

Been going to this place for a few years but it's really getting on my nerves lately. The donuts are excellent don't get me wrong, this place is just never open or even bothers making donuts.
A while ago they changed their operating hours. Don't be misled by Google saying it's temporarily closed, it isn't. The owner for some reason won't fix it. They're supposed to be open Wednesday through Sunday. Except sometimes they'll just not open one of those days despite the sign on the front saying they're open. No explanation and no notice since the Google page still hasn't been fixed.
This isn't even the mention that there's been times where I've been there when they're open within the first 30 minutes and they haven't even started making donuts yet?? How??? They also were closed all through pax weekend despite that falling under their normal operating hours. I saw so many people try to go in walking to the convention center just for it to be closed.
Like the food is amazing and I WANT to give this place my money. They are just not consistently open or even have anything to purchase. Blows my mind they don't make donuts early it seems.
Unfortunately I expect to see an article one day announcing it's closing and I'll have to be in the comment section saying how it's because they're never open.

Came here many mornings on my visit to Seattle back in January. Great coffee and breakfast food. Can't go wrong here.
The best old fashioned donut I've ever had. The biscuits are also excellent.

This place has great biscuits, really great, too great... Infact the big issue is that they run out early. So you have to go early or call and beg for them to hold one for you (this actually works if you can get through). The reward is the delicious biscuit. It would be a bit expensive except for the fact that these are obviously massively outstripped by their demand and they could charge more and I'd still be telling you about the great biscuits, and you'd probably still want to try it. Amazing donuts too but that was my consolation prize when I didn't get a biscuit.

Terrific donuts but our order was missing an item we really were excited about trying. The owner was sweet but disorganized for a Friday morning. They need to update what they have through the delivery apps they use.

Everything good. Love the mochi donut holes.
Tried to go here twice during posted open hours and they were closed both times
The only doughnut shop that makes me late for work every time but it's absolutely worth every bite.. especially the pineapple fritters...never get out of there with less than five or six( so I don't have to share mine).

Hands down one of the best doughnuts in town.
got a biscuit and jam and it was so fluffy and delicious
Delicious fluffy creamy cream filled donut. Spendy ($6 a donut) but on par for what you’d expect on Cap Hill. Excited to come back and try some other donuts! Also, the little cafe chairs outside are super cute and it’s nice to just sit and eat your donut, sip your coffee, and watch the world go by.
I never had a pineapple fritter until this shop, and it was absolutely delicious! I also recently tried their raspberry old fashioned and that might be my new favorite. The frosting is made from real raspberry puree made in the shop. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Fantastic donut and friendly people to boot. 10/10
