I recently took a close friend to Harvest Beat for her birthday and it was an absolute delight.

It was her first visit to Harvest Beat, and while she's mostly vegetarian rather than fully vegan, she was blown away by the entire menu. Her absolute favorite part was the combined first and second courses: the hickory-smoked parsnip bisque paired alongside a ginger miso massaged kale salad topped with maple-roasted apples, golden raisins, and toasted pumpkin seeds.

A couple of her other friends are now planning to take her out for her birthday again, and she's already requesting they bring her back to Harvest Beat.

The most expensive yet single worst vegan meal I've ever eaten. I couldn't eat three of my five courses because they were absolutely disgusting. So many competing flavors and nothing (with the exception of the soup) was good. Even the tea was terrible. Left hungry after having spent over $400.00 for the evening.

Such a great experience! Romantic ambience, wonderful and attentive staff and delicious food. Will definitely be returning next time we visit.

The overall atmosphere at Harvest Beat was warm and inviting, setting the tone for a memorable evening. My only small criticism is the large window facing the bright neon signs across the street. A curtain or some way to soften that view would help complete the otherwise great experience.
The servers were warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. Every course was paired with either a wine or an elixir, and my wife and I chose the elixirs-absolutely the right call. Each drink complemented its dish beautifully and offered a refreshing reset between courses. The pacing of the entire meal was excellent; I never felt rushed, and each course arrived only after I'd comfortably finished the previous one.
The five-course meal was some of the best vegan food I've ever had. The hickory-smoked potato chowder was so mouthwateringly good it nearly brought me to tears. I haven't had a chowder since going vegan years ago and had almost forgotten how much I loved it. I'm so grateful a vegan version this good exists.
The roasted beets with wasabi crème were another standout. I love wasabi and the pairing was spot-on. The mushroom-cashew-cheese-filled crêpe was a showstopper as well. Even though 1 was nearing my limit, I swear I could have eaten another and accepted the consequences.
Dessert was a masterful Red Velvet Chocolate Lava Cake, and thev even adjusted the recipe for my wife, who is gluten-free. I tried a bite of hers, and I think it was slightly better than mine--just a bit moister. But I loved mine all the same, and my wife was over the moon with hers.
I can't wait to go back. I'll be finding any excuse to celebrate and splurge on this spectacular dining experience again.

The food was extraordinary! Everything is plant based. The staff are very welcoming, including the chef/owner. I love their concept and how they work directly with farmers. They change the menu depending on the produce that is in season. I will definitely come back next time I visit Seattle. Thank you!!

We enjoyed this all vegan, organic fine dining experience for Valentine’s Day and it was so memorable. The non-alcoholic drink pairing elixirs especially blew us away. Perfect for special occasions, this spot is a gem. Updated from previous review on 2026-02-15

Bought a chef's tasting for a friend and her husband on vacation l. They said it was one of the coolest experiences they have ever had.

My first date there the food and experience was fantastic, wines were very good as well. The last time, just recently, the first and second courses were great, the wine paring was spot on. The third course was ok as was the wine. The Fourth course was not very good at all, the wine paring was lost in translation, and I saw that other patrons had not enjoyed it either. The final course, Dessert, was also not to my liking, it appeared to be under cooked, and the flavor just did not hit the mark, the wine was terrible! I saw other guests also rejecting the wine. So far then Harvest Beat is batting in at 50%, Hopefully next visit will be as was the first.

Perhaps I went with very high expectations but the overall experience was a tad underwhelming, especially with the high cost! The first 2 courses served together were delightful but it went downhill from there. While the 3rd course was an innovative take in Indian flavors, it was lacking balance with fresh ingredients - perhaps a garnish with more vegetables rather than very few microgreens would have helped. The pre-prepared crepes in the 4th course were too dense and large with very less stuffing (which was quite nice and I only ate that). The accompanying sauce was excellent but the servers took so long to bring the plates out that it had cooled off even though the chefs took such pains to serve it hot. The 5th round with the red velvet lava cake was disastrous - very dense and heavy, no 'lava' to speak of inside the cake and again the servers took so long to bring them out that the cakes had cooled off considerably and the toppings were a coagulated mess. Lastly - out of the drink pairings, we each liked only one or two of elixirs and wine pairings - the rest were very average or below average - so didn't seem to justify the added expense. I found myself wishing I'd just gone in for a side order of one of them. Oh well.

We loved the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Everything went together beautifully. The food was interesting, delicious and each dish well described by the waiting staff. The only criticism is that some of the portions were too large for a tasting menu! The soup and beet starters were perfect but the “paneer” course was too big and filling to be followed by a savoury stuffed pancake and then a dessert. High points were the soup and, I loved the flavours of the pancake but I just couldn't finish it.

Amazing food that even this non-vegan loved. The beet poke had the perfect consistency and texture and flavoring. The drink pairing was top notch. Our table of 2 got 1 NA and 1 alcohol pairing so we were able to taste both. Fantastic.

This isn't my first time dining at Harvest Beat, but was my first time dining w/them on/for a holiday. I have to admit, I left unsatisfied with the service. The food was stellar; my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed everything and even got to take home leftovers to enjoy later. Now, let's get into the real review. The service. From the moment we walked in, I felt a weird, unwelcoming vibe. Red flag #1. I gave the benefit of the doubt due to it being a full house on NYE. The older woman, with dirty-ish blonde hair, who checked us in did not give a well welcome. She even assumed we had already been checked in, when we hadn't, but decided to start the conversation with the couple behind us with, “have you been helped?” Red flag #2. Throughout the evening, my partner and I noticed we were always, and I mean ALWAYS, the ones to be served last when the same older woman served us. However, when the chef (of the evening) and/or the youngest woman with a short curly cut was serving, they came to us in a respectful order.. or what one would expect. We sat directly behind the chef/kitchen bar, bringing us directly in Birds Eye view. Red flag #3. Allow me to emphasize, this is a full-course dinner that is to be served on plate(s) TO us. With the older woman serving us later than everyone in the entire restaurant, once we got to the last course (dessert), MY PARTNER AND I WERE NOT SERVED UNTIL I SPOKE UP AND ASKED WHY WE HAD NOT RECEIVED OUR LAST COURSE! I was extremely respectful about it, but deep down, I wanted to tell her about herself. The older woman waitress truly provided my partner and I with prejudice service. I truly hate to be that person, but my partner & I noticed we were the only African-American guests. If that's not telling, I'm not sure what more I can say. Red flag #4. With it being the holiday, I wanted to give grace but I am left with a disgusting taste in my mouth. I have loved Harvest Beat, however, 2025 was and will be the last time dining with them.

I went to Harvest Beat expecting an elevated, thoughtfully executed vegan dining experience and instead left feeling genuinely scammed. We spent over $500 for three people on the prix fixe menu with pairings, and nothing about the experience justified the price. The entire evening felt gimmicky rather than intentional, with concept prioritized over flavor, balance, or value.

The pairing menu was especially frustrating. The mocktail pairing was priced the same as the wine pairing, which might have been acceptable if the drinks were well crafted. They were not. The mocktails were unbalanced, uncreative, and honestly unpleasant to drink. Charging the same premium price for those as for wine felt like a blatant cash grab and left a very sour impression.

The food itself was deeply disappointing. Portions were far too large for a tasting menu, leaving us uncomfortably full by the final course rather than satisfied. The plating was sloppy and unrefined, and worse, the dishes were flavorless and at times outright disgusting. Nothing felt elevated or memorable. Every course tasted like something I could have made better at home. Instead of leaving inspired, I left in a funk for a day or two, which is the exact opposite of what a great meal should do.

For comparison, I have dined at Plant in Asheville, NC where for a fraction of the price I left thoroughly impressed, awe inspired, and genuinely proud to be vegan. The food and drinks were DELICIOUS even to my carnivorous fiancée. That experience showcases what creative, thoughtful plant based cuisine can be. Harvest Beat did the opposite and could learn a thing or two from that establishment.

If this restaurant were marketed as a decent casual vegan option with pricing to match, expectations would be far more appropriate and the disappointment far less severe. But positioning and pricing this experience as elevated dining sets diners up to expect something exceptional, and that is simply not what is delivered.

This was supposed to be a highlight of my Seattle trip and instead became the low point. For what they charge, the experience should be exceptional. It absolutely was not.

A cozy, intimate, indulgent experience. We will be saving up to go again. The space is beautiful and some of the dishes absolutely blew us away.
