This place is embarrassing. Based on quality versus value it should go out of business. Please join me in boycotting this place, it deserves to go under. To management, throw out your entire menu and start over, there isn’t a single dish that is worth what you’re charging. In particular your pasta dishes are tragic.

Love the food and staff at this restaurant. Everything we tried was excellent and we ordered 6 dishes between the 2 of us, 2 cocktails and a bottle of wine. All really excellent. The staff was friendly, warm and informative. We will defintely be back. My only complaints were the chairs, (hard!) And oh boy the music they had...someone needs to curate their music! Of all the cool 80s music out there we were having tolistenn to .38 Special, lol! How about some Joy Division or DEVO next time? Kidding aside, this is a great restraunt we will be back to again and again

First visit. Sorry now we didn't make it sooner! Ordered the fried chicken sliders, Paccheri (pasta bolognese) and the hamburger. The pasta dish was good but the sauce wasn't to my taste. It tasted kind of winey maybe. It's a small amount of pasta for the price. The hamburger was superb, if a little bit overcooked and also a bit high in price. That onion jam on it is great and the house cut fries you won't want to stop eating. The fried chicken sliders (3) were just fantastic and reason alone to return. Service was wonderful.

Whether you're looking for delicious pasta, hamburger with fries, or oysters in the half shell, Haymaker has you covered. The restaurant is truly a gem of the Alaska Junction in West Seattle.

Fantastic food on Valentine's! There was a completely imperceptible delay on the main course that we didn't notice but they took great pains to make sure we felt the love. Great job David!

Mediocre to average food for the price they charged. Our waiter was nice but it took forever to get our drinks. There was water inside the leaves of the lettuce for the salad and not enough dressing. Pork chops were tough. The scallops were good. There is ice cream inside the cream puffs instead of cream ?They have clean bathrooms:)

Went in alone and had an excellent experience. Sunday-Thursday has a happy hour menu and as a vegetarian I was able to find good options. Tried the seared cabbage for $5 which turned out to be a large wedge with plenty of acidic dressing and nuts, a steal for the price. I then got a happy hour tonnarelli with oil, cheese, and black pepper which was a huge portion and excellent. It was $9 cheaper than the non HH price and the same size. I got the cherry galette for dessert which was great as well and came with a generous scoop of vanilla gelato as well. The consistent theme was that they weren’t stingy with portions and everything I had was delicious. The staff were also very friendly so I’ll be back often.

We had a lovely time - the food was beautifully prepared and delicious, and the host was really attentive, bringing us Prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. We'll definitely be going back!

We had a lovely evening. Was just surprised at how salty all the food was.We had to return the wings dish because it was inedible. Excellent quality but sadly way oversalted.

We ordered the rigatoni and the tagliatelle. Both dishes were over spiced. I took a bite of the tagliatelle and thought I was eating Thai food it was so spicy. Should have sent both dishes back.

First time diners at Haymaker. The black cod and pork entrees were wonderfully conceived and executed. The focaccia was light, slightly salty and delicious with the bright olive oil and balsamic dipping sauce. Wait staff were attentive without being obsequious. The room became a bit noisy as more dinners arrived, which hastened our departure. High marks over all. We will recommend Haymaker and look forward to returning for another meal.

This place is outstanding!! Loved loved the food, the arancini is delicious. Both Jules and Eric were seriously awesome; truly, haven't had that much fun eating out in forever. Can't recommend this place enough!!!

Possibly the worst service I've experienced. Drink orders were forgotten. We were brought an appetizer we didn't order, pretty obvious that the items we ordered were forgotten. Eventually all of the appetizers arrived. 1 entree out of 4 was served, 10 to 15 minutes later, no other items served. I had to flag down the server to ask that the 1 served item be taken away and be served with with all of the other entrees AT THE SAME TIME, as they should be. There was a prolonged wait for the entrees to arrive and more forgotten drinks. I have never given a bad review. I was a server for over 45 years and understand that sometimes things go sideways. This was total confusion the server needs to be better trained, if she is unable to remember a tables order she should write the order at the table. We won't return.

Had high hopes for Haymaker but were sadly disappointed. Started off promising when we arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and were promptly seated. Went downhill from there. After ordering drinks waited 20 minutes for them to arrive. Told our server we had a time crunch and he assured us he'd get us out on time. Then received 1 slider (out of 3 per order) without any explanation of why or when we'd get the others and received our entrees with less than 15 minutes to eat and pay. Restaurant wasn't more than half full but only two servers and ours was barely present and open kitchen seemed chaotic. Pasta was Al dente to the point of being undercooked. When we gave feedback to front of house manager on the way out he blamed us for not making an earlier reservation.
