I was asked to provide passport to verify my age , I had my indian driving licence apparently you can drive in Washington on that but it's not enough for verifying your age. Lol

The best place in cap hill

Loved the at atmosphere, crowd, drink prices, and service here. Going to be my go-to bar whenever I’m in town now. I’d be comfortable going alone and watching the pool matches :D

Was pretty fun to hang out and cocktails were as expected.
I would say this is a nice place to take a date. Lots of decor and cool views.

All the ingredients that make a good time. Good draft list. Hat tipping bartenders. Darts for the dart board. Skeeball. Arcade. TVs. Pool table. Free swimmer balloon catchers, and honestly a hidden gem. So actually don’t come here (because it’s really good)

Did not have any food since we ate before we got there. They did have free pizza for the football games which was really cool. So, this place is everything I look for in a really great dive bar. Great drink, staff is friendly, and it does not matter what walk of life you come from. All are welcome and leave your politics at the door. This bar was by far the best bar we found in Seattle, only wish we would have found it sooner!

I’m sad to write this review. I was new to Capitol Hill from Dallas and I am international student here in the US. Hillside was definitely my fav without any negative things to say until today. I don’t drink alcohol but I visited this place more than twice a week to play pool( one dollar per game).

Because of my low paying job and other financial constraints I wasn’t able to buy the non alcoholic drinks as well considering the fact that I play close to 5 games per day. People who play pool here are gems ❤️. Bartenders are good too. Never asked me to buy anything and they were cool with me just requesting water( using the words please and thanks ). I casually made a joke about keeping my friend’s ( I played pool with her more often and we both know each other well) solid balls on table when the bartender was trying to help us get the stuck cue ball. I don’t know what happened ( maybe the bartender was good friends with my friend) but the bartender yelled that she doesn’t do anything for free (paid one dollar for my game on this day ) and said that I have to buy alcohol. I just smiled, looked around awkwardly, lost the game and left the bar.

I don’t know man, maybe my joke did not land well or the bartender (flower's name) had a bad day. But I was so sad that she always had this thought of me not buying alcohol as a problem. I just hope that she was direct about it and communicated that I had to buy a drink. I followed a general etiquette of paying for the pool table games and being kind to everyone there. I’ll miss the folks who play pool here. Thanks for the good memories! ❤️

Nice vibes with a quiet atmosphere and dive bar aesthetic. Pool table was available and card was accepted.

Jasmine was the best for our trip to Seattle! I’ve never been in town before and she showed us great hospitality and gave great reccommendation for exploring the town! Definitely gonna come back just for this bar and bartender!

Was visiting in Seattle, went to a lot of different bars but this one stood out. Good drinks and good vibes.

I asked for chips- they were right in front of me and 1 worker brought them to me in such a rude way. Then later apologizing , I really wasn’t understanding what was the deal about asking for chips but the guy made it so awkward. I don’t need to know anyone’s name btw to ask for something I am paying for as long as I’m saying “please and thank you”.
Also as I’m walking out this same person yelled at me from the corner saying “I hope you enjoyed your chips”
And my thought was …everything good at home buddy?
place is not bad but the approach to the customer in such an sarcastic way was just unnecessary and this is the reason why i would recommend people to find other bar

Horrible experience, rude employees. Fake people running a dump. Go somewhere else. So many other nice bars in Seattle.
