I went to himitsu a couple weeks ago for the 1st time. As we walked in the lady behind the counter greeted us with a big warm smile and a welcome. I tried one of the bento trays they offered. Of course what I wanted was not on the menu. So I asked if she could change a couple of things. And of course they did with no questions asked. She offered us a bowl of the complementary soup 🍲. This was an excellent experience and a calm, clean atmosphere. We came here for lunch and the food was delicious. I had the Terriyaki barbecue chicken with kalbi! The food very tasty and tender, the marinade was flavorful. The host was very friendly and we also got complimentary Gyoza! I rate this restaurant 5 out of 5 stars! I will definitely be back to try the house fried rice.
My favorite Seattle teriyaki tofu. I used to get takeout a lot when I worked nearby and the tofu was always perfectly crispy outside and tender inside, only in the package for a short time. The sauce is the right amount of both sweet and salty. I order extra sauce sometimes, as I did in the most recent picture, in case I want it for leftovers or for another meal in the next couple days.
