Oof. There's a reason this place is not busy when every other tavern/bar in the neighborhood is packed. A pint of beer is served in a schooner, and a schooner is served in a juice glass. But, for the small portions you also get unfriendly staff and high prices. Yikes. Good news...plenty of seats available.
Best Brewery in the PNW, and I don't put that lightly when there are places like Brujos, Fort George, Ravenna, and Single Hill out there. Great space in Phinney Ridge as well with good food nearby.
Good beers and ambiance but no tasting beer before ordering one. 👎🏼
It became a challenge to visit the other location as parents. The new location is great for us to stop in as a family. We've raised our kids to tolerate more than just generic pop music, so the heavy music is a welcome change of pace from other family-friendly locations in the area. A while back, we visited with my brother-in-law who uses a wheelchair, the staff were awesome about making sure he had a spot at the table.
As always, the beer is incredible and they offer a decent range of styles at all times. Merch is also consistently tempting for my wife and I!
Holy Mountain’s Phinney Ridge Taproom has a chill, unfussy vibe with great music and a rotating tap list that always delivers. But let’s be real - the beer is why you come. I consider myself a bit of a beer snob, and I can honestly say this is world-class stuff.
Recently, I enjoyed Follow the Smoke and The Mariner, which were both incredible. Truly though, I’ve enjoyed every single drop of every Holy Mountain beer I’ve ever had. From crisp, nuanced lagers to complex saisons and deep, brooding stouts, every pour is balanced, intentional, and just plain excellent. And if beer’s not your thing? Try the Holy Water. Seriously, even the water is next-level. This place is the real deal.
Two stars for a few prior visits at the original location. Love the beer. Love the music and vibe. However yesterday the vibe here in Phinney Ridge was not cool. First there was no seltzer option for my wife. I'd simply write this off as a rare case of being caught off guard, but the looks the staff gave my wife is the reason for this review. She was wearing informal clothes. The staff literally looked her up and down with a snooty look on their faces, as if we don't belong here. Don't judge, because that can go both ways. TLDR: staff were snobs, clearly the Phinney Ridge vibe is rubbing off on Holy Mountain. Be yourselves, you've ignored the complaints about playing metal. I love that. But acting like your customers don't belong here?! That's not the Holy Mountain I know and it will 100% impact our future decisions to patronize
Love the beer & the vibes
Love this place, best rotating beers
Fantastic beer in a clean, comfortable setting. Double your carbs and indulge in the amazing focaccia.
Great beer! Great neighborhood. Now for some real talk. The vibe is not my favorite. Quite stark, clinical even. Not much color, tile walls make for noisy acoustics and the lights are too bright. There are lots of places with great beer so ambiance is really important. Last night it was totally empty with 0 customers when nearby places were full. I'm worried they might not make it. Owners, if you're reading, lower the brightness and put up some curtains or something. I'm out to chill with a beer, not getting my covid booster.

Great place to work from except the music is terribly loud and mostly metal. This place has great potential if they improve the music and make the place a little more cozy/inviting for families.
Fantastic service and incredible beer. Serves as a different experience than interbay but absolutely worth coming and seeing in it's own right. Really wonderful food options very close and fantastic views on the street nearby.
Solid. Big shocker right ? perfect addition to the hood. Family friendly. That can be a pro or con depending on your situation, but something to keep in mind.
Very cool place with great beer. Mike at the bar was awesome.
Are the following attributes of this establishment a pro or con?
Service with an attitude
Loud music by which conversation is attained by yelling at each other
$10 bucks for a 13 ounce pour
If those 3 things turn you on, well then this is your spot.
