Had a vintage cake workshop with Carla and it was simply amazing! She explained everything clearly and is super passionate about cakes. It is well worth the money. Got to bring home a beautiful and delicious cake.

We bought two single tier cakes for our wedding this last weekend and they were incredible! Carla created a custom vegan flavor to complement our fall wedding. She was so easy to work with and we can’t wait to buy another cake on our anniversary.

Honey Crumb Cake was simply the best experience for us when choosing our wedding cake. Carla was such a joy to work with from the initial email exchanges about what she recommended for my design/guest count, to a fun intimate cake tasting with my MOH, to going out of the way to make sure my cake got delivered to the venue after a scheduling error with my Dad (which was NOT a part of deal, just something she did because she's kind and amazing) And oh.. the cake is soooo amazingly delicious & beautiful!! I cannot recommend them highly enough!! And I can't wait to order an anniversary cake next year!!!

We are so glad we went with Honey Crumb for our wedding cake and dessert bar! The whole process was incredibly smooth and easy, and Carla made us feel so at ease and well taken care of. Getting to taste all the fun flavors was a great pre-wedding date night and Carla was really helpful in deciding what size cake to get based on our guest count. We didn't want a huge cake, but did want something fun and beautiful, plus other options for desserts for our guests (don't miss the rice crispy treats and brownies!), and I love that there were so many options to fit exactly what we were looking for. Carla was even able to have our cake ready a bit early! It's not often you find cakes that are beautiful AND incredibly delicious AND made by someone so knowledgeable and kind, but that's what we got from Carla and Honey Crumb Team! Now we just need to come up with a good excuse to order another cake ASAP!

The lemon blueberry cake from Honey Crumb was the most perfect dessert for our summer BBQ wedding! They were so amazing to work with including adjusting our pick up time when we had a last minute schedule change. Our micro cake was absolutely stunning, and the sheet cakes for the guests were absolutely delicious! The gluten-free macarons in the matching flavors were also a perfect touch for our guests with sensitivities.

OMG The cake was inhaled in a nanosecond! I'm joking of course, but let me just say it was so incredibly DELICIOUS!!!!! And they went out of their way to use a recipe from Rudi's Bakery from the 1970's in Bloomington, Indiana. Ah, Rudi's was so incredibly popular and their poppyseed cake a HIT. Long closed now. And Honey Crumb made it even better! if that was possible. THANK YOU HONEY CRUMB!!!

Ordered my wedding cake through Carla, and it was 100% the best experience. We did the cake tasting, which was honestly the most enjoyable part of the whole wedding planning process. Carla is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and made the most amazing cake with sugar flowers in our wedding colors that now serve as a gorgeous memento of our day. We are already looking forward to ordering an anniversary cake!

Delicious! That was how I felt about the Honeycrumb cake we got for our wedding. Not just me actually -- so many of our guests were raving about it and happy to grab seconds. The vegan Fiori Di Sicilia with blueberry compote cake was absolutely gorgeous and delicious.

It was really nice to be able to get almost any cake made vegan. That made it so easy. The cakes are beautiful, and we really appreciate the hands-on service. We called in and the bakery team was very helpful and driven to make sure the cake came out perfectly for our wedding. You can hear their passion and expertise when they talk. Our friend picked up the cake and they packed it in the car for him to keep it stable and provided instructions for keeping it pristine. I would happily order a cake from Honeycrumb again.

The art cake and macron favors that Carla made for my Nephew’s wedding were just so gorgeous and delicious- even the gluten free layer tasted amazing!!!

We recently ordered a microwedding cake from Carla. She made the process so easy and seamless! And our wedding cake was just beautiful. When my husband and I saw the cake for the first time in person, we both just couldn’t stop smiling at how perfect for the occasion it was. All our guests complimented on not only how pretty the cake is but also how delicious the lemon blackberry favor. Even weeks later, they are still complimenting the cake while noting that it’s the best wedding cake they’ve had.

I had my wedding in September of ‘24. I had the displeasure of using Honey Crumb Cake Studio. I had attended a wedding expo at Edgewater with my now husband, and Honey Crumb was one of the many vendors there to show and talk about their services. They had two cake samples for couples to try. One being a lemon cake I believe and the other being their espresso flavor. I am an at home baker, so my cake was highly important to me in terms of taste and looks. So, when I say these samples were out of this world those who know I bake would believe me. I thought the samples were so good that I had at least 7 pieces. My husband had even agreed the cake was delicious. So we decided to jump the gun and go with Honey Crumb without sampling any other bakeries, to be fair is our fault. I had spent $160 for a single cake. On our wedding day we cut into our cake and the knife was having the hardest time cutting through. When we proceeded to take our first bite the cake was dry, lackluster in flavor and a real disappointment especially after having delicious samples not too long before. The cake visually looked pretty. If you want a cake simply based off looks this is the bakery to use, but if you are for flavor and a delectable treat, this is not the place to use for your special day.

I must note, my mother didn’t want to hurt my feeling on the day of the wedding and just let me know that the cake was such a disappointment and for the cost. I had also realized looking back that no one finished or took part in the cake. My husband and I decided to throw away our anniversary slice of cake as we do not wish to relive our disappointment.

Hopefully, Honey Crumb will take this feedback and improve for future customers. Looking at previous review the owner does not seem to take negative feedback.

Edit: My apologies, my wedding was in August not September. Beware that if you go straight to the reviews to write a negative review versus talking to Carla (the owner) first you will be met with emails that may result in hostility. Her expectation is that if you plan on typing a negative review that you speak with her first. My wedding was 8 months ago and I have just now been able to get around to writing this comment. I honestly did my best to be as kind and thoughtful when emailing back and forth with Carla, sadly over the course of 2 to 3 days the conversation went sour. I felt insulted and as a result will not recommend Honey Crumb bakery moving forward.

My husband and I decided to hire Honey Crumb after going to a wedding show and determining that their cakes were both the best tasting and the most beautiful cakes we have ever tried! Carla coordinated with our florist so she could create sugar flowers for our cake that matched the real flowers in the flower arrangement that went around our cake, which I thought was so cool! Many of our guests told us how good the cake tasted afterwards. And we will definitely be getting all birthday cakes and other special occasion cakes from Honey Crumb going forward! :)

My favorite cake in Seattle. Plan to have a honey crumb cake at all my important party celebrations.

Honey Crumb Bakery is wonderful (both for classes and for the cakes they make). We have purchased cakes from Carla on multiple occasions, first for our own COVID elopement wedding and then for my in-laws birthdays.

I also recently took their Cake Decorating 101 workshop. Carla was an incredible instructor. So funny, warm, and helpful. She patiently explained each step of her techniques and was always nearby to offer a helping hand with helping us tint our buttercream colors, frosting, and then painting our cakes! The video below is the cake I made after just a couple hours of instruction. I have no doubt that Carla could have made a better version of it by herself within 15 minutes or less, but I'm thrilled with what I learned, and now feel confident enough to try it on my own at home!
