The chocolate cake at Hot Cakes was molten, rich, and dangerously addictive.

We ordered two brownie desserts and one s’mores. We did have the understanding that it’s lava cakes. But truly, it was WAY too lava like. It felt like we were eating hot uncooked brownie soup. The ice cream was good, unsure if house made but if it is it was good. We paid 52.00, for three treats and I feel that was hideous due to portion size which is to small for the price, I paid cause we specifically went there cause rumor was they’re fabulous. I think that’s the worst part, that we paid for 52.00. We could buy 10+ premade box of brownie mix and 4+ carton of ice cream and make 15+ lava cakes SMH, and that doesn’t include what we paid for parking (not their fault, Seattle fault ) Overall just a 3.5.

if i could give 0 stars, I would. I got a $13 dollars crème brûlée and it was not even filled up halfway, barely anything in the tiny container. Overpriced and the taste is not even worth the money :(

Got one very tiny molten cake and a tiny scoop of ice cream for $16. ): The molten cake was also extremely sweet and did not taste good what so ever. Severely disappointed in the quality and price.
Please either give more portions or lower the prices

What a disappointment. My partner and I just moved in up the street and were really excited to have a late night sweet shop nearby. We've tried it twice and got absolutely horrible service for the overpriced tiny desserts they serve. Definitely won't be returning.

If you really want to pay $17 to eat a microwaved cake...and they want you to tip yet you still have to bus your own table...This place just feels like every bad modern stereotype rolled in the one

Decadent desserts and a unique environment. Friendly staff. Overpriced though

It used to be that you could get seasonal fruits with the desserts, now it’s not an option or offered. Also, I wish they’d do less of the chocolate lava in the chocolate cake/brownie . Its so rich I can’t finish it or get easily grossed out by how heavy it is

Delivery experience: I ordered the dark decadence lava cake and it was anything but a lava cake. It was more like a dry piece of brick. The experience at the store may be different but I certainly don’t recommend ordering it.

In the past, they used to send a ganache-ish with delivery orders, and that used to help with the drynesses. They don’t longer do it.

The prices for the cakes is astronomical. All in all I paid $20 for the Gooey Chocolate Cake with regular vanilla ice cream. This is beyond luxury for an area it’s located in and the quality of the dessert. It would be more realistic if the price is between $10-12, any thing more is beyond my comprehension. Talk about inflation - this is one big inflated dessert place for sure.

Super delicious lava cakes! Wish they were a bit cheaper but the quality is definitely there! It's a great spot to go with friends or on a date.

The dessert here is amazing! I ordered a cookie and ice cream while my friends ordered the molten lava cake. Each were equally delicious and I would love to go again. The portions are large and the two orders were split between four of us. On top of the yummy treats, it was super cute inside and really enjoyable overall.
