Rooms were spacious, but bathroom needs grab bars by and in the shower/tub area. More waste cans would also be helpful. Refrigerator leaked and is old , needs replacement. Please consider wall mounted dispensers for body wash and shampoo. The tiny tubes were inadequate. No hooks or towel bars to dry or towels. Please add some. We were in suite 408.
Historic charm coupled with impeccable service.
Rooms are extremely spacious and I received outstanding customer service from the staff, both in the hotel, in the eating areas, and from management. The Fireside is cozy and so inviting! The food is exquisite and the mixologists did a fantastic job on the drinks. This hotel is located within easy walking distance to Virginia Mason Franciscan Health facilities. If you are looking for historical charm - this is the place for you.
Really comfortable beds and exceptional service 👌
My room was just lovely. Every staff person was wonderful to deal with.
We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Sorrento. The rooms were clean and spacious. The food was delicious with a variety of options. In general, the staff exhibited friendliness and attentiveness. I only once felt mistreated by a staff member, which could have been due to my skin color or simply because she was having a bad day. It’s challenging to discern intentions given the current state of time. Nevertheless, we would certainly consider re-staying at the Hotel.
It was a wonderful room in a great location. Very much enjoyed the historic ambience and outstanding service.
I had a wonderful experience staying here. The staff was very kind and the room was lovely. The city noise is noticeable at night, so I recommend bringing ear plugs.
Great hotel. Very friendly and accommodating. They knew we were arriving earlier then expected and our room was ready when we arrived. Beds were cozy and comfortable and the room was clean. Loved the late check out. We will be back!
Absolutely love the hotel, have been staying there and attending many events over the years. The staff go above and beyond.
However, it is very sad and disheartening to see the hotel in such a state of disrepair. Everyone commented on this and the bad odor.
Stella was good at every meal!

Great customer service.
The Hotel Sorrento is a beautiful building with a lovely decor that harkens back to the days of yore. Classically furnished in both the lobby and in the rooms, the hotel is cozy and welcoming in the most nostalgic way possible while still maintaining a modern touch with A/C, nice flatscreen TVs, and fast WiFi. The room was immaculately clean and the bed was comfortable though the mattress should either be flipped or replaced. The staff was friendly and professional, the live jazz music at the bar & restaurant was inviting, and the location to the medical center was perfect.
Historic hotel, historic rooms.
Beautiful room. Far and uphill from downtown. The beds were not made well. Bottom sheet was just thrown on, crumpled and not tucked in. I had to remake the bed and made my bed the next days. I don’t know if the staff get enough time to make the bed properly.
Trying to be luxury. Our unit had a window AC unit that let us hear all the street noise. Not a deal breaker, but not ideal for what this place is trying to sell itself as. Very attractive old building. Fantastic service overall. Good location. Walking distance to all the touristy stuff. Props to Miles for going the extra mile for us (pun not intended) Service staff is all customer service oriented.
