I was travelling through the Seattle area on unplanned, unwanted family business with my adult daugher and a husky dog. We needed acces to one of the hospitals in the area, Wile travelling with a husky dog , and we needed to catch flight on Thanksgivig. Finding the sorrento and their dog friendly policy was a God send. Not only do they allow dogs, they welcome dogs. You can tell much about people by how they relate to dogs. The hotlel staff was so helpful from the first phone call, to checking in, and checking out. We dined in the bar and had an excelelent meal. We both had the best night of sleep in more than a week. We made our flight and got the husky to back to Alaska. The Sorrento helped make a difficult situation manageble, and even allowed us to relax, Not to mention it is a cool, old historic building. Next time I am back to Seattle for more enjoyable circumstance I will deffinately stay here. Thanks!

Nearby activities: We needed easy access to one of the great hospitals in the area.

Safety: The car vallet service, and parking our rental car was a great service. I don't spend any time in big cities and allowing them to take care of the car was great.

Food and drinks: Foood was delicious.

During the recent outages, this became our home away from home for three days, and it was perfect. Comfortable, affordable, accommodating for our dogs and selves, and just THE nicest staff. Thank you to Rory and all of the front desk, room and restaurant staff. Could not have felt easier and calmer during a time of many questions and concerns. Thank you. Will recommend and return often.

We rented a room for 2 nights because my wife had a procedure at Virgina Mason. It's only half a block away from the hospital. After she was done the hotel offered to loan us a wheelchair to bring her back to the room. The only negative I can say is that the heaters in our room did not work very well at all but they brought a space heater up to us when asked. Would definitly recommend

Nearby activities: Hospital

Walkability: Access to hospital

Food and drinks: Great food in Stella's which is in the hotel

I enjoyed my two-night stay in this Italian beauty. Classic rooms, great service, and a lot of great touches, including quality terry and linen. Comfortable bed, daily, first-rate Housekeeping service and a solid location. Highly recommended.

This is absolutely not a 4 star hotel. Not a single one of the 5 windows in my room closes completely. All of them have broken locks AND broken tracks, so they are permenantly cracked open to varying degrees. The result is I hear every single sound outside and I get to have a cold draft of air blow through periodically. Not worth the money. There are plenty of other hotels in the area; stay somewhere else.

Hotel rented our room to someone else though I booked it well in advance and only arrived 30 minutes after check in began. What is the point of reserving a room if you are not going to honor that and rent it out to someone else?!? Terrible service.

This review is for the Holiday High Tea, not for the hotel. What kept this at 2⭐ are the servers who were trying their best to handle the crowd (it was a full house!) and were kind and helpful. It was a little slow at times but considering there were 3 people handling 20+ guests. They did their best. Maybe they had an off day, I don't know.

For afternoon tea it was really pricey for what you get. The food was ok, nothing terrible or standout. But the portions were so small. In particular the sandwiches were really thin layers and the bottom layer was a tiny uncrustables sized sandwich. The scones were mini scones rather than full sized ones.

Also...if something is advertised as a Holiday Tea. Where are the decorations. Where is the holiday themed food... Otherwise the dining area is dark but very cute.

I understand everything is expensive now but it's wild that I paid $55+ and ended up getting Dicks afterwards.

We have stayed at the Sorrento when my husband needed medical care in Seattle. I like that we get a reduced medical rate on our room and on parking and the location is excellent, very close to Swedish and medical offices. Our room was nice and comfortable, and it had a lovely king size bed with lots of room. I really appreciated the separate sitting area, too. My only quibble on this last visit was that our sink drained very, very slowly and the toilet did not always quite "swallow" everything. Hence, four stars on the room rather than five. We didn't bother to call for housekeeping because we were only staying one night, and it was late by the time we checked in.

I recently spent a delightful week at Hotel Sorrento in Seattle, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The hotel’s historic charm immediately stood out, blending beautifully with modern amenities. As one of Seattle’s oldest hotels, dating back to 1909, the building is a stunning example of Italian Renaissance architecture. From the grand lobby to the intimate hallways, the craftsmanship and elegance evoke a sense of timeless sophistication.

One of my favorite features was the Fireside Lounge, a cozy and inviting space perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The crackling fireplace, plush seating, and soft lighting created an atmosphere of warmth and relaxation. The ambiance was perfect, whether I was sipping a cocktail or enjoying afternoon coffee.

The food at Hotel Sorrento was equally impressive. Their in-house restaurant served delicious, locally sourced meals, with breakfast and dinner being highlights. The menu offered a great balance of classic and contemporary dishes, all prepared with attention to detail.

The customer service was top-notch throughout my stay. From the moment I checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They were knowledgeable about the hotel’s history, quick to offer recommendations on local attractions, and attentive to any needs or requests.

Overall, Hotel Sorrento provided a wonderful balance of historic charm, modern comfort, and personalized service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, luxurious stay in Seattle.
