Hummus Cafe is a Mediterranean style restaurant in the heart of Greenwood at the busy corner across from Flint Creek. It has about a dozen or so tables inside and their menu is a decent size, however pricing per portion is quite high. Unfortunately they get one star right now because they were not open on a Friday when we came at 11:30. We waited outside for about 10 minutes then went somewhere else locally, but when we walked back over at around 12:50, it was still closed (lights off, front door closed, no one inside, etc.) Kind of disappointing that their hours online don't reflect their correct operating hours. We will try again one more time but already set the tone for a poor experience.

Just had an amazing experience at Hummus Cafe in Seattle! The service was excellent, and the food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. We ordered the hummus, baba ghanoush plate, and the falafel plate — every bite was delicious. You can really taste the freshness and quality in each dish. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who loves authentic Mediterranean food!

Very solid lunch spot! Quick, accommodating service, and pretty affordable. Stopped by to try something for lunch and got the Gyro salad and the Dolmades. Gyro salad was piled high with nicely seasoned meat in thick chunks, and the salad greens were dressed in a vinaigrette which I thought was a really nice touch as it paired well with the tsaziki sauce on the meat. The dolmades were pretty good, served cold and not super pungently garlicky. We ate there and noticed at the bottom of the menu there would be a service charge for dine-in, but we went to pay and they did not add the charge, which was a pleasant surprise! Come support this local business if you’re in need of a quick and satisfying lunch!

This is the first time I am back after the renovation. Lentil Soup: 4.5/5 Rice I am not fully sure about the shawarma salad, so I will have to come back, eat again and add to my review.

Stopped in on the way to the bus initially for to-go lunch, and ordered a falafel sandwich. It was delicious. I found some parking in the back and came back again to get the falafel sandwich again and tabouleh. Tabouleh is made fresh so takes about 15 min, I didn't have time to wait today, sadly, but will definitely call in to order next time so I can try it. Got the Dolmades instead!

We got to try their weekend specials, which were the Hawawshy and the Lamb Shank. The hawawshy was crispy from the outside, yet the meat itself packed plenty of flavor and was so juicy. Fresh, as authentic as it gets, and so yummy!!!
I have tried the Lamb Shank at many other spots in the Seattle area, and nothing comes even close in comparison. No weird gamey taste or typical dryness, which is why I'm hesitant to order it in the first place when I go to Middle Eastern restaurants. The one I tried here changed my usual take because it's super tender and moist as the meat literally falls off of the bone. Plus, their red sauce paired with the onions and rice was such a delicious combo, so whatever they are doing is definitely working. Never had that anywhere else, to be honest!
Such a hidden gem, and the quality you're getting compared to their prices is unbeatable. Wish we could keep it all to ourselves, but it's only fair I share such impeccable experiences because they deserve the praise. Bravo👏
Add their level of accommodating customer service as well as their super welcoming vibes, and you will feel like you were at a close family member's home for the evening!
If I didn't stress that enough, we will be back for more and have also already agreed to a catering order of some of their authentic dishes for a gathering to celebrate a friend's newborn!

Hummus Cafe is a must-visit! This family run spot serves up incredibly authentic and delicious arabic food. We had a special order lamb shank that was phenomenal, perfectly spiced and cooked. The owners are wonderfully friendly and patient, making the whole experience feel like visiting family. They're willing to make off-menu dishes if you ask in advance! That level of service is rare. They even let us stay a bit past closing. Truly exceptional hospitality and food. The place is super clean and cozy too. They also offer catering. We'll definitely be back! 5 stars all the way!
