What a gem in the Mount Baker neighborhood.
We went in on a Friday night and had no issues getting seated.
You can tell a lot of thought went into each dish. For instance, the seasonal veggies came with this miso and black garlic dressing which highlighted a lot of fall apple notes. The filet mignon was made to perfection. The brie mushroom risotto was rich in flavor. For dessert, we had yogurt mousse with Granny Smith apples, and it was a great light and tart treat to offset our main course.
There were some wine and sake bottle options, but the by glass options were straightforward.
For the level of care and technique that goes into the food, I like that the ambiance of the restaurant is more down to earth. Having a restaurant to this pedigree away from busier hot spots around Seattle is great if you want to dine somewhere more intimate.
Highly recommend, perfect for date night!

The food was delicious. They are not at all staffed or prepared for a full dining room. We enjoyed our wine and food for sure, but we waited an entire hour between starter course and entree. The server was overwhelmed and unable to interact. I hope they find their groove.

The dishes were all excellent and full of flavor while having a great visual element as well. The leek soup had a wonderful unctuousness. The duck breast was perfectly warm,
soft, and the fat rendered; wholly satisfying with a light glaze. The fish was a flaky Branzino with a skin just crusty to add to the earthy flavors of the foraged mushrooms. The sake selection was outstanding. We really enjoyed the dining experience. There were multiple families with active small children on a Saturday night though.

Went there last night after being curious about it for a year. So intimate and so lovely. We were one of two tables from 5:30pm-7:30pm on a Thursday. Watched a beautiful sunset and were well taken care of.
The chef/owner was our server, and his only back up was his sous chef.
They also did a great job taking care of our dietary restrictions (fiancée has celiac) and modifying things to make them work.
Basically an-almost private dining experience for two, with a lovely view, at $100/person. Easily my favorite restaurant experience I’ve had in recent memory

Food exceeded our expectations, very rich in flavor, a very interesting combination of Asian and French taste. My husband and I literally went from 🤨to 😍after the first bite. Food portion was small though, that’s the characteristic of French cuisine. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a food adventure

What a delightful dinner!
The Wasabi Herb butter paired with the perfectly tender filet mignon dish was done fantastically. I loved the crispy hashbrown. The Braised beef and sweetheart looks small in the photos, but I swear that it it sizeable, 2-3x what the photo makes it out to be. The size/ shape of the plates make the food look small in pictures. We went on a Wednesday evening, and the space felt private.
Small critiques would include the mashed sweet potato which reminded me of the Chinese sweet version of Hawaiian bread that I associated as a cheap flavor. Green beans were fresh but the chew felt rubbery. It may be common in American/ European cuisine, but I was not a fan of it.
The menu is well priced, flavors were great, and we left full. I will be back!

One of the best and most interesting fusion restaurants in Seattle, with beautiful views of the city. Intimate setting, with chef actually being at the restaurant.

One of my favorite places to eat in Seattle. The menu is inventive so the food is not only delicious but really interesting. For fine dining, it is well priced, you can get away with spending $75 per person and still get a phenomenal 3-course experience. They don't have cocktails here but there is a great list of wines and sakes to choose from (with a wide price range) + non-alcoholic options (again not cocktail format). The ambience is fantastic, especially for dates and special occasions but somehow it's still the kind of place where you'll feel comfortable if you're not celebrating anything and just want good food. Pro-tip: if you sit next to the windows, you'll get a gorgeous view of the city.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten allergy is relatively easy to accommodate here without missing out on anything special!

Nice spot in the neighborhood for an intimate, upscale dinner. The space is small, so plan to make reservations. Time it so you can see the sunset from the gorgeous views. In regards to the actual meal, while the food we received was tasty, nothing blew me away. For the price, I was left wanting more flavor and interesting dishes personally.

We were seated at the bar, which I think was a real treat. fantastic view downtown Seattle, the Olympics, and the sunset.
Each course was better than the last. We had the baguette, tempura with burrata, the filet mignon with the shrimp, iberico with polenta, the special tomato desert, and the peach desert. Zero complaints for any dish that we had. It was clear that each dish had the highest quality ingredients and the flavor profiles were unique. Mixing tempura with burrata was absolutely a win, so was the tomato desert dish. The dishes gave me the impression that the chefs just enjoy food and what they are doing. The portion size was decent, we were both very full after our meal.
And the ambiance was interesting. Almost like a private chef experience as opposed to eating at a larger restaurant. The chef has an affable personality so it was great speaking to him about the dishes. This place will be great alternative to eating in the city for a business dinner or a dinner out with your loved one.
Street parking, so maybe add some
Time for that, but we were lucky and found some quickly.

Beautiful ingredients not used to their potential. Filet mignon topped with unseasoned foie gras, Iberico Pluma coated in a sweet glaze. $30 to add black truffle to any main arbitrarily. Dining room partially used for storage, nice wine or sake offered in an ice bucket but then squeezed in the window sill in direct sunlight.
Overall a pleasant evening but it's not fine dining and it's not worth the price tag.
