Best sushi on Capitol Hill, friendly and helpful staff, able to easily make accomodations for gluten free folks. Highly recommend!!

Some of the best sushi I've ever had. When I was visiting Seattle last year I ate here as much as I could, so fresh and delicious!

A favorite location for quality Sushi. The food was tasty. Had a sister come into town and asked me to take her here again. The bill was decent for the quality. Feels similar to a cafe in Chicago I loved.

Sushi at this spot - yummy. Great place to meet and catch up with friends. I look forward to going back again. Prices are decent for the quality. Menu is like a place in Miami I enjoyed

My favorite sushi place on the hill, owner is so sweet as are all the staff, love the ambiance, hope they have the ability to reopen safely when they're/the world is ready

Seasonal specials, great drinks and a fun laidback atmosphere. This place is an unsung gem! We have been back several times and always find something new. Plenty of veggie & vegan options in addition to fresh fish.

Probably the best Hamachi Kama on the hill. The rest of the menu is 5/5 as well!

When my regular sushi joint of several years shut down I thought nothing would ever replace it. I was wrong. My friends and I have been coming to Ikina weekly for over a year now and love it. The staff are so kind, friendly, and take good care of us. The prices are reasonable, especially if you go during their excellent happy hour. And the sushi is delicious!! Fresh, tasty, well-made, and always satisfying. They also have udon and other dishes. When I've strayed from my usual sushi those have also been excellent. Give them a try, you won't go wrong.

I've been once in person and once for takeout, both were amazing. This will be my go-to takeout sushi place! All the rolls we ordered were delicious. My favorites were the creamy scallop and the spicy tuna. I usually do not prefer spicy tuna rolls, but this one had a KICK and was also NOT the usual mushy texture of spicy tuna. The scallop rolls were awesome. I don't think I'd ever had raw scallop rolls, but I'll be getting these again. They also had a bit of a kick. They make everything to order, so I know that even my takeout order was fresh! Great spot for both dining in and takeout.

Wonderful homey neighbourhood spot for sushi and drinks. Relatively small with seating and sushi bar. We always sit at the sushi bar and order omakase from the sushi chef (if your sushi is getting made by a man with a Mickey Mouse watch then you’re set!).

A laid back spot with quality ingredients such as Toro tuna that melts in your mouth and seaurchin. I would recommend a Nagiri plate with the chefs choice of roll.

I always go to sushi on my birthday for dinner and this year I tried a new spot, Ikina. It was great. Small and intimate inside. The wait staff and chefs were very friendly and we had wonderful service. I honestly didn't think our sushi took long to get but they did and gave us free miso and edamame to make up for something we didn't even think was an issue, which I found to be an incredibly gracious thing to do and we really appreciated it! Our sushi was incredible and beautiful! They all wished me a happy birthday and we enjoyed a delicious tempura green tea ice cream dessert. Overall a wonderful experience and we would absolutely go back!
