We had the pre-fix dinner and it was great! We enjoyed the attentive service and good food! I thought the dining room was a little too dark.

After an exhausting day, we discovered this little gem, and it was simply perfect for us. I can't believe we had never been here before! The dark and moody ambiance created an incredibly romantic setting for dinner. My only complaint? The food was so amazing that I might have indulged a bit too much! I had the chicken Parmesan, and my husband enjoyed a pizza. We both left feeling absolutely elated! If you haven't been here yet, do yourself a favor and make a reservation—we'll definitely be back!

I'll Bistro made my daughter's 18th birthday very special. The food was amazing, the service was prompt, and even though they are young adults, she and her friends were treated with respect and kindness by the staff. Not all restaurants do that with teenagers so this mom is very grateful for Il Bistro giving my daughter a wonderful birthday experience 🫶

Great food, sat in the bar and it was a little loud but we are older so..... overall loved it. would definitely go again. Calamari, cioppino and lasagna all wonderful!!

Had Cioppino at this restaurant as a young lad 45 years ago. Happy to see they’re still business. Sad that the food is not as amazing as I remember. Cioppino broth was too sweet. Mussels tasted off. Tiny crab legs.

Been here many times over the years but not in a long time since we moved. This should have been a five star review because food (charcuterie, chicken parm, and gemelli), wine (super tuscan), server, vibe were all excellent as they always were. I was put off by the 4.5% surcharge which states “100% of this amount is retained by Il Bistro to enable us to pay our employees a living wage”. And I add the language is buried at the bottom of the menu in fine print. Owner’s explanation didn’t say anything about the surcharge money even going to the sever! To the Owners: it’s your job to see your employees are treated well, not your customer’s job. If the minimum wage is high in Seattle (as explained to us), then dig deeper, be rigorous on efficiencies, automate, raise your prices if you must. But I don’t want to do your job; I already have one. And I know the 4.5% is easy to deduct from the tip but then the server suffers which completely contradicts what is supposedly intended. Having said all this, I will return if in Seattle since now I know ahead about this and won’t be surprised at the end of an excellent night when I am presented with the check. PS: server was excellent!

We were so disappointed with the food. My Caesar salad was blah topped with croutons out of grocery store box. Nothing creative there. My chicken was cooked to the point of burned. I was expecting large seashell pasta but they were small and overcooked. Everyone’s food seemed precooked from the night before. We had a nice server, but I asked my cocktail to be shaken extra cold, it was not. The atmosphere was dark, cozy and fun and there was a wonder jazz band. I might come back for that.

This restaurant was recommended to us by Eric who works at the Crowne Plaza Hotel where we were staying. It was a fabulous experience...great staff and amazing food.

The ambiance here is amazing. The location is really fun and festive. The food is very, very good. The gnocchi won the best overall among scallops and bucatini, linguine and clams, and chicken parm. The portions are ample. Good service. Will go again.

We have been coming to the l'Bistro for nearly 30 years. The service, ambiance, and food are excellent. Highly recommended.

We got a last minute reservation for dinner after spending the whole day walking around the city. The weather was so nice we decided to sit outside which I wasn’t sold on at first (the restaurant is in the alley by Pike’s Place so there’s not much of a view but actually there is a beautiful graffiti wall and you can catch glimpses of the nearby sky scrapers so actually it was really pleasant!). Firstly, the focaccia? Absolutely TO DIE FOR. Do NOT skip it! We ordered caprese salads and the 10 year aged balsamic does not disappoint. My husband ordered the gnocchi and I got the gemelli. I’m sure anything here is delicious and in fact I forgot to get pictures because we were so hungry and everything was so good! We were too full for dessert and there aren’t many options but I’m certain what they offer would be a wonderful finale. I definitely recommend! A little pricey but that’s par for the course for Seattle, this definitely is a fab restaurant but won’t be a splurge.
