Been here many times over the years but not in a long time since we moved. This should have been a five star review because food (charcuterie, chicken parm, and gemelli), wine (super tuscan), server, vibe were all excellent as they always were. I was put off by the 4.5% surcharge which states “100% of this amount is retained by Il Bistro to enable us to pay our employees a living wage”. And I add the language is buried at the bottom of the menu in fine print. Owner's...
The ambiance here is amazing. The location is really fun and festive. The food is very, very good. The gnocchi won the best overall among scallops and bucatini, linguine and clams, and chicken parm. The portions are ample. Good service. Will go again.
We had a lovely meal, in a quaint restaurant. We started with the sauteed calamari which was delicious. The cioppino, which we both had, was loaded with seafood in a dense flavorful sauce. When we asked for foccacia for dipping in our sauce, our server brought us a plentiful supply. A great evening.
