It was alright. Wings needed to be cooked a little longer, sauce was a bit goopy. Super loud heater fan.

Seattle has a wonderful diversity that extends to the bar scene. While looking for dinner after 10pm, we still have a vast array of food choices beyond pub or diner food. Imperial Kitchen and Bar in Belltown offers Hong Kong cafe style food while offering a full bar experience including creative cocktails. The food menu has a variety of international choices, and the dishes are pleasantly good. The place is understandably loud, being a bar. The décor is old-school dark wood bar chic with small HK style neon signs hanging from the ceiling. The Seahawks celebrations merriment was still ongoing with karaoke blasting on Superbowl Sunday. Service was swift, and the food came out in a timely manner. I will remember this place for future late-night food.

The Food:
Rib Eye Steak Platter, $28 – 4.5 Stars
This sizzling platter comes with your choice of sauce and a choice of starch. Hubby chose black pepper sauce and spaghetti. Hubby asked for medium rare, but the rarest they offer is medium due to being served on a sizzling platter. Fair enough. The platter did arrive smoking hot. The flavors were pretty good. The black pepper sauce was delivered warm, not very hot. The flavors met expectations.

Stir Fried Udon with Tenderloin Steak, $20.95 – 4 Stars
This dish is also done in a black pepper sauce. I quite like the high veggies-to-udon ratio, almost equal parts. Overall flavor is a bit salty. Some beef pieces are better than others, a mix of tender and chewy.

Garlic Pepper Soft Shell Crab, $16.95 – 3.5 Stars
Despite being fried, these pieces are softer, less crispy than I all other fried soft-shell crab I have had. Perhaps they might need to double fry. These have good flavor with good seasonings despite not being particularly crispy.

This place is a Belltown gem. Fun aesthetic and a Hong Kong fusion menu that has a little bit of everything- highly recommend the gyoza, loma saltado, ribeye with spaghetti, fried udon, and french toast. Great cocktails too! I especially like getting baijiu-based drinks here. Joe and Eric do a great job and always make me and my friends feel at home.

We came here with a group before the Seahawks game. We waited 45 minutes for drinks, and then were told they don’t steam food at this time (2pm). We were the only people in the restaurant. I was really excited because there were good reviews. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The poor gal working was the only one. I never write a bad review, however we all traveled from out of town and we were really excited for a fun lunch with family.

Great place for game nights and chill ones as well! Slowly turning into a very modern Asian cuisine spot, with great eats, tasty drinks, and a huge screen to watch your favorite sports. Waitstaff is friendly - Joe especially, accommodating, welcoming all of Seattle’s finest!

Very kind staff and amazing cocktails. From the moment we stepped in the door the staff were very accommodating and friendly - bar man advised if there was any cocktail we wanted that wasn’t featured on the menu, he could make it for us (which we really appreciated). Ordered a lychee martini and Tokyo old fashioned. Both were absolutely amazing cocktails. The lychee martini was one of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend Imberial Kichen and Bar for its amazing cocktails and fabulous staff. Hope to return again soon

Exceptional wait staff and good cocktails. Best customer service i have experienced in Seattle. Ordered dim sum, but it was sold out. Gyoza that came instead did not disappoint.

I've been going to imperial on a regular basis for the past few months now. It seems like every item on their menu is delicious and unique. Great mix of Japanese, Chinese, and Southeast Asian dishes, but each with a slight twist that reminds me more of street dishes and home cooking than something you'd find in a typical Asian restaurant. Not to mention the well crafted cocktails.

The vibe is nice. Dark and cozy, a little classy, but also a splash of neon with their Chinese street signage. Makes me feel like I'm walking down a food stall-lined street in HK.

Truly a unique spot and a belltown gem. And if Joe is working, you're in for a quality time.

I can't say enough good things about this place! After not being able to find parking, that wasn't almost $100 at our chosen restaurant, and then leaving a second restaurant because the prices had almost doubled since the last time we've been there, we rolled into Imperial, hungry and frustrated, an hour and a half after we had intended to have dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday, rolling the dice on a completely unknown restaurant.

Joe was super patient and kind with my slightly hangry, very sceptical crew that had lots of questions because we'd never been to a restaurant quite like this. Not only was the food excellent (getting two thumbs up from even the pickiest kid in my family), not only was my dad, who is celiac, able to eat without getting sick, this restaurant and its staff totally turned our evening around and made my husband's birthday one of the most memorable times.

Imperial, thank you so much! We will definitely be back!
