i’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and i’m so glad i finally did. there was a small line, but it’s worth it to try this super creamy soft serve. the waffle cone was delicious and i loved the chocolate hard shell. will be coming back!

Expect a line, and seating is limited to outdoor benches, but the unique, silky-smooth soft serve makes the wait worthwhile.

Hokkaido milk and a cone is all you need to be wowed

A soft serve place that doesn't offer samples... seems odd! All you do is pull a lever...?

The melon flavor was gum tingling sweet, it was disgusting and I had to toss the whole thing. Too bad I couldn't try it before buying! Also odd that Japanese sweets tend to be less sweet than American ones - this was definitely sweeter than your average Molly Moon's! (there's a scoop shop nearby, go there instead!)

Love this place! The plain Hokkaido milk is so delicious and not too sweet, the matcha is SO good and the fresh strawberry sauce is tasty!

Cool place to try but not our favorite. The specialty flavor available for us was the melon and it was well balanced! I ordered their waffle cone which made my ice cream look lackluster….

I also didn’t really like the waffle cone that much. It had a stale texture and lacked flavor. I’m guessing it’s because there was charcoal added (to give it the color)?

Word of the wise: this place get very busy on weekend evenings. Like line down the street.

The quality of ice cream here is amazing! Its menu isn’t the biggest, but that’s fine because all of their selection is carefully chosen and all so good! This may be the best ice cream place in Seattle, and I’ve been to a lot of them.

I thought this place was overhyped and over priced.

My visit to Indigo Cow was unfortunately underwhelming. While I was excited to try their famous Hokkaido-style soft serve, most of their advertised flavors were out of stock, leaving only one or two basic options.

The customer service was okay—nothing notably friendly or attentive, but the staff wasn't rude either. They were efficient in handling the orders they could fulfill.

It's hard to fully judge a place when you can't try what they're known for. The vibe and potential are there, but the execution on this particular day was lacking. I might give it another try in the future, hoping for a better selection.

Tastes like soft-serve from Japan, which is a very good thing

Watery and not creamy at all, extremely over priced, had to wait in a long line

This is a Japanese soft serve ice cream with tons of topping selection. It looks like vanilla but it is actually a Hokkaido milk they do have some seasonal flavors as well, I like the mochi toppings

So deliciously creamy!

The rating for this place is incredibly unfair. Indigo cow is the best soft serve I’ve ever eaten and this is coming from a sweet treat freak. The chocolate sauce is decadent and thick instead of thin and runny and syrupy like most other places, the matcha is just the right strength, not too weak and vanilla-y, the mochi is the perfect texture as well- adding something fun to the eating experience, and the staff is knowledgeable about the ingredients, helpful, and incredibly friendly! I cannot recommend this place enough. For those saying it’s not enough for the price, you’re paying for quality over quantity. Not to mention you’d be hard pressed to find a quality treat at the grocery store for 6 bucks so why would you expect a huge serving at that price point? Goofy. Sometimes I swear people lack perspective. Reminds me of all the people that complain about tacos not being a buck fifty anymore, and pressuring/expecting small businesses to keep their prices low because “it’s just a taco” — it’s not just soft serve here, these are thoughtfully sourced quality ingredients- if you want a regular-degular half pound of soft serve go to DQ.
