I tried the Vanilla flavor with mochi at Indigo Cow and really enjoyed it (super smooth, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness). The mochi added a nice chewy texture that worked well with the soft serve. My friend had the Matcha flavor, and it was impressively rich. Definitely for matcha lovers. Both flavors felt high-quality and well-balanced.

I don’t live nearby but Indigo Cow is hands down my favorite/the only ice cream I’ll eat. It’s a small spot inside a ramen place so there’s no indoor seating for the ice cream, but they have picnic tables outside. Their milk flavor is my favorite! It’s creamy, not too sweet, and has a fresh, distinct milk taste

Stood in line for 15mins only for them to say they weren’t taking anymore customers at 8:55. They have an “end of the line spoon” but there was no notice from the staff we weren’t going to be able to be served even though we were directly behind the last person. We typical like this place but that was incredibly poor customer service.

I liked this place, but I can't say it's particularly unique for Seattle. A matcha + sweet cream swirl is good, but I've had the same thing elsewhere.
I think the toppings are pretty good though. If you're going to visit, you should try toppings you've never tried before. I liked the mochi balls, in particular.

Very interesting ice cream! Super unique, I've never tried anything quite like it before.

If you're going for the first time, get the plain soft serve without toppings or the swirl. It's a nice, nutty flavor.

This place does get a line. I recommend going on a weekday afternoon, if you can. We went when it was raining and there was no line.

Difficult to find parking if you drive.

The line is worth the wait!

Ice cream booth. They have pretty interesting flavors, to me, their plain ice cream itself is better than any their toppings. It has an interesting buttermilk aftertaste and good texture.

Amazing flavor and texture. The Hokkaido milk was super creamy but somehow also airy and light.

Great flavor and texture! Had the milk and melon flavors and both were excellent.

S tier, matcha and matcha alone

Vanilla, green tea soft serve either solo or in a twist, pick a topping and sometimes there are specials.
The photo is a twist with 2 mochi, a little cake wedge from the May 2025 special and sprinkled with matcha powder. Just a window pick up place basically.
A nice alternative to both Molly Moons and Fainting Goat if you need a cold treat in Wallingford.

If you see a crowd you should probably stop and see what's going on

Indigo Cow is a TREAT! The flavors and texture of soft ice cream really is impressive. On the photos in order of top to bottom and left to right: 1) Small Hokkaido Milk Ice Cream cone with Dark Chocolate, 2) Small Swirl ice cream (mixture both milk and matcha ice cream) 3) small ceremonial matcha ice cream cup with BSR (Brown Sugar Syrup and Roasted Barley Powder).
......
Park nearby in one of the neighborhoods and walk, it's a little store front that if you blink you might miss it!
