Good food in affordable price. I love the French fries.

It’s hard to believe this store has so much good reviews. I ordered from this store for the first time by takeout, when I arrived the wrong order was made, somehow the owner mistook Katsu as Teriyaki, and after he remade it, I was told that salad is not included, and I’ll need to buy it separately. Not to mention the food looked completely different from the picture, for the listed price of $12, only getting a few pieces of chicken and two spoons of rice is ridiculous. I ended up spending $2.5 to buy a salad, which turned out to be a few pieces of lettuce and three pieces of shredded carrots, and a few more were added at my request.
The middle-aged man (who seemed to be owner) couldn’t communicate well in English, but he didn’t even try to be polite, I have never seen such a stingy owner. The picture is the picture I saw when I ordered, and there is no description saying "no salads/vegetables". I forgot to take pictures of the chicken and rice I got because I was too angry.
The only plus was that the katsu and sauce tasted pretty good.

Used to go here all the time when I lived in the UD, now that I live on the Eastside I stop here whenever I have to go into Seattle. Why? Because it's awesome, that's why. The food is tasty (I'm particularly a fan of the chicken and beef teriyaki - ask him to make it spicy - and the rice is so good I just get it for both sides. The bulgogi and sweet and sour chicken are also honorable mentions.) There's always just one dude doing all the orders and cooking but the food always comes out in a timely fashion anyways. (Long ago, the place used to have a full-service bar and DJ and other employees, but it's been pared down to this for years now). However, it is what a teriyaki joint should be - comfy and spacious enough. Plus, the portion sizes will leave you enough for a lunch the next day and the prices are insanely cheap in this day and age. I left here the other day paying just under $40 for two people - that was an entrée and extra side apiece and there was enough left over for dinner. Craziness.

One of my truly favorite places in Seattle. The sweet and sour chicken is a winner. And his rice. So good.

A quiet and cozy spot for a good bite to eat. We went to get pickup and the staff was really warm and welcoming. The place was really clean and the food was really well priced for the portion sizes. I also felt like there was quite a lot of care taken to ensure the ingredients were fresh and cooked to perfection.

The food we ordered wasn't the most fancy, but it still managed to surprise me in just how well everything came together.

Simple elegance.

Kid-friendliness: Staff was very kind and patient with my child, who likes to explore every spot we visit!

I’ve dined in twice now and oh my god. SO GOOD. I’m super picky with my food and unfortunately get full very easily and wow. Wow. Wow. I ate everything. Giant plate of beef fried rice for $13 AND comes with some of the best miso soup I’ve ever had. Shared with my S/O and filled us up. Everything is hand made down to the onions in the soup and made fresh. If you’re genuinely looking for a place to check out TRY THIS. They only have one person doing it all and we should give him some love. Genuinely so good guys.

Ran by old asian guy he’s really nice and the portions are so much more than you pay for. Everything on the menu is worth it but I would recommend the fried rice or the chicken with rice. Food is so good fr.

Walked into the place completely empty on a Saturday night. Food was cheap but quite low quality. The teriyaki sauce was too thin so the teriyaki was more like charred meat. The pieces were huge too, very weird. And to top it off, the gyoza looked and tasted like it had been fried in old dirty oil. Service was fine

Very nice place at UW to visit to have meal or hang out with friends. Price is very competitive for a place near UW.

I have chicken teriyaki, come with rice and miso soup. I ordered an extra frenchfried. All of them only cost 16.

The food is also very good. Not too sweet or too flat.

Like what the actual F? FOOD POISONING

Seriously, we had the worst experience today. My friend got food poisoning and committed 10 times in less than three hours.

Like seriously be responsible for your business and customers health.
This is concerning and the main server was SUPER RUDE and was mad with me when I asked him if I can pay.
Serious!

Owner is extremely impolite. I live right by this restaurant and still never go because of how loathsome I find the man.
