You want just some good food and a great chowder (a little thick the way I like it). Therefore, go over to the Sanitary Market and get a satisfying real Seattle seafood, this is you place.
I used to work across the street from this place 25 years ago I was so delighted when I walked up and saw my old friend Flip still freezing his buns off to make the people of Pike place market smile. If you're in the area The fried oysters are to die for!
The best clam chowder I've ever had. $9 for a large bowl. Far exceeds other clam chowders in Seattle/California/Boston. The chowder inspired me to write a review. Creamy, lots of high quality clams, good potato ratio. Also, cheaper oysters than other pike place locations. Easy to grab and then eat at the waterfront overview.
