Jake's is a great early morning spot in u district. It has a casual, cozy vibe. I came here to get a ton of work done and they had ample outlets throughout the space. The chai and biscuit were great. Classic cafe staples. The woman behind the counter was so sweet and saw I was there to work so she quickly gave me the WiFi password. Overall, would come back here again.

Pretty rude owner. I was very polite saying excuse me and she ignored me and pretended I didn't exist. I knew she heard me because I sheepishly said excuse me a couple times while she ignored me while looking down (continuing to act like she didn't hear me and I wasn't there) for awhile then all of a sudden she looked up at me directly in face and rudely told me to wait which I did even though there was no other customer in line. She finally asked what I want and I asked where the bathroom was to which she gave me a dirty look, didn't say anything and just pointed to the bathroom which was in a dark corner near the back on the left of the register. Mind you this was after I already ordered a couple coffees so I wasn't just asking for the bathroom and not paying. Not sure what everyone is talking about with the owner being nice. I haven't come across such blatant rudeness in a long time until this experience. This was also my first time visiting this cafe and quite an unpleasant one. My recommendation is go to sip house. It's not far from this location and the people that work there are very nice.

Yang is the best! She is the sweetest coffe shop owner! If you support local businesses, you need to visit this place! Super cozy and great customer service! The egg sandwich is definately my favorite!

I don't write reviews but felt the need to write this one.Edited: So, to reply to the owner's comment. There was no sign that said I couldn't bring lunch in from your neighboring business (Just Poke), you said nothing when we came in, and my friend got coffee and some food from you. Your reply proves my point, now go ahead and put your head back down into your phone.

The Nutella Mocha was amazing. The cheddar biscuit was amazing. But the sysr of the show is the muffins. We got three and all three were super delicious. The best was the Lemon Coconut, but I am biased for anything coconut. Besides them being delicioussl, the texture was amazing. Love this place.

My new favorite coffee shop to study at ! It's just a few blocks from my apartment and was so warm I got the horchata hot and it was delicious ! Usually horchatas are too sweet or not sweet enough and I loved this one ! Plus, the lady made it so fast. Got it within 3 minutes of ordering. The lady said she bakes all the goods morning of so my friends and I took some home to enjoy as a late study snack. Overall the spot is comfy and clean with good lighting. It has a homey vibe and my burr didn't hurt after sitting in the seat for 3 hours.
