Been wanting to 'Brunch' at JaK's for many years & finally made it here for the 1st time in their new location. Decor was great, an understated elegant , very comfortable, and welcoming. Food was very good, well prepared and a beautiful presentation. I had the classic eggs benny & my dining mate had the steak hash. Both dishes were 'good' but not exceptional...they seemed to lack on seasoning that would have made them 'stand-out'.

JaK's is the best place in West Seattle to go for steaks! The new location is fabulous & everyone is so warm & friendly. Cocktail & wine menu is excellent as well. They definitely have a few opportunities to work through as service was slow, they were out of bread & they don't offer prawns (at a steakhouse?). Still highly recommend & we'll be back!

The scallops were to die for. So much flavor! I had the filet with a baked potato side with the works. The steak was cooked to a perfect MR. I brought home leftovers. I will be back!!

We had a private table in the back, Galen was our server who we've had before, and she did a fabulous job. It's nice to have somebody who has knowledge of the items you had on the menu before and can make sure we find our happy place in your new spot. We look forward to coming in soon and having Galen take care of us again.

Love the new West Seattle space, with booths that still offer privacy and minimize noise. We'd give Caleb our server 10 stars if we could, he was fantastic. Food and drink choices as usual were superb.

I took my wife and our daughter to Jak's to celebrate her leaving for college (University of Glasgow - Scotland) in September. My wife and I both got the boneless ribeyes (hers medium rare and mine medium) and our daughter got an 8 ounce filet mignon (medium). All of the steaks had tremendous flavor, our only critique, the fat in the boneless ribeyes needed to be rendered. Deonello Hines

The service was slow. We waited a long time for just water. The salad order was incorrect and there was a double charge on the bill we had to point out.

The new restaurant location is excellent. It's easily the best high end steakhouse in West Seattle and dare I say Seattle. The prices are in line with similar restaurants. Our server, the food quality and ambiance made for a great dining experience. I highly recommend it.
New premises was nice with an extensive bar along one side. Preferred the ambience and character of the former location as it had a more neighborhood and steak house feel. Food was tasty and beverage selections were plentiful. Lots of new team members who were efficient and friendly. We normally frequent JaK's on Monday nights for their Prime Rib dinner. However it was unavailable as it was explained that they were still "fine tuning" their menu including their happy hour. A little surprised and disappointed. Will definitely call the next time before going on a Monday night. Overall, it is a nice place to unwind with delicious food and wine.

From the moment we stepped in and were warmly welcomed, to be seated with water already poured for us, we felt right at home. Get the LARGE MIMOSA and be sure to try their different fresh juices. I did the GUAVA MIMOSA and others at my table got Passionfruit and Mango. SO GOOD! Our brunch was excellent. Most of us got the veggie scramble and subbed smashed potatoes for JaKs famous potato pancakes! Delicious. Every staff person we encountered treated us like family and you can tell they really love working there which makes it a happy place to visit. We recommend requesting Julie's section when you make a rez - she was fantastic!

If you hate the seattle chill, you'll love this place. We are so used to the lack of customer service in this town until we finally tried JaKs. Best steak prices and drinks in the city!!!! I came in with 3 of my out of town family members without a reservation tonighr and was blown out of the water from the amazing hospitality from our host Michael. He was so patient and kind with us and although he got us a seat, it wasn't big enough for us, so he immediately sat us at a much bigger booth. He made sure our server took care of us and made us feel extremely warm and welcomed. We really appreciate the hospitality and kindness!

All of our portions are now small & dinners do not come complete with a fresh green salad, seasonal veggies, fresh bread, & your choice of a baked potato, garlic mashed potatoes, potato pancakes or fries.
So sit back and enjoy the increased prices, reduced portion sizes & the West Seattle charm vanished with our new space too.
