Pleasantly surprised! My niece wanted sushi, and Japonessa happened to be the closest spot to us. We were surprised at the reasonable prices, so we decided to go in. The atmosphere was extremely relaxed and our waitress was wonderful. The food was delicious! We will absolutely be back.
Good service. The sever was knowledgeable and helpful not intrusive but available.
Sushi (nigiri) was okay but average. No wasabi or individual dressing on any of the pieces. The fish didn’t stand out or surprise. Gari was slightly off, industrial quality and shredded. The ama ebi with fried heads was pre-fried, not fresh and room temperature. No dipping sauce. The Tamagotchi too sweet and industrial quality.

The food here was good. It was just very slow. We probably spent close to 1 1/2 hrs here...and 20 minutes of it was eating. The drinks were good. The sushi and salmon tacos were fresh and tasty. We did not like the Crunchie rolls---the outside of the rolls is a deep fried breaded coating that is really thick and doesn't stay on the roll....
