Mmm. One of my absolute favorite spots whenever I visit my daughter in town. Service is always top notch.

The curry at jewel of india is super good. I get this on special occasions with my roommate. We get the chicken tikka masala, the butter chicken, with the garlic naan. With each curry dish you get you also get a plate of rice. The quantity is pretty good. Also the chicken tikka masala and the butter chicken taste the same but its still really good.

Really enjoyed this place. The service was really good and the food was delicious. Had Lamb Tikka masala with garlic naan. The naan was huge!

Updated review.I had been missing Indian buffet as many places stopped offering buffet during the pandemic and have not resumed. So I was happy to discover that Jewel of India is serving buffet again on Fridays and weekends. The buffet price has risen a bit, but so has the quality/consistency. I usually get the butter chicken (most noticable improvement compared to before), mattar paneer, freshly baked naan (I love their butter naan), chai, and kheer with gulab jamun - definitely getting my money's worth.

Have only tried delivery from here, def will need to go inside soon so can't say much about ambiance. Food is flavorful and delicioussss! Quick service and great food! Will definitely try more of their menu! I ordered lamb saag (a fav of mine) which was impressive as other restaurants lack flavor but here this was amazing! I ordered medium hot and was veryyy pleased! Also ordered garlic naan which also impressed me as no skimping on the garlic like other places! And ordered prawn masala! Satisfied with my experience :) definitely give Jewel Of India a try and order lamb saag!

Lovely place on University Way in the U-District between 47th and 50th. Family owned and operated. This place has served great food for at least 2 decades. I highly recommend this place for a date night. The recipes are very tasty. You will not be disappointed.

Had tandoori chicken and Gobi Manchurian for lunch today. The Gobi Manchurian was a hit, with its crispy florets and a sauce that struck the perfect balance between tangy and spicy – truly satisfying. On the other hand, the tandoori chicken was a letdown; it lacked the signature smoky flavor and juiciness, coming across as overly dry. While the Gobi Manchurian was a lunchtime delight, the tandoori chicken didn't quite make the cut. Would come back for the Gobi Manchurian but might skip the chicken next time.- Gobi - Tandoori Chicken: 0.5/5

Food was really good, better than many other Indian restaurants I've been to. Food was light and flavorful, not oily.

This place deserves more stars! I was craving tandoori chicken so I called them up and asked if they had it. They did, and I was only expecting the chicken itself but they also gave rice and grilled veggies which was absolutely perfect. Everything tastes just as good as it looks. The owner was very nice and gave me a free desert to go. Will definitely come back.

Came here because it’s the few sit-in restaurant that are still after 10pm and it did not disappoint. Great chicken tikka masala and chana masala!

I wish if they had zero star. I ordered sambhar vada and it was one of the worst ever tasted. Vada seems cooked in dirty oil and sambhar tasted like hot water with lots of chillies in it.Please taste your food first before making delivery to your customers.
