I have never had a bad meal or service at this place!! Their Italian inspired menu is an absolute gem. Braised short ribs with risotto and Brussels sprouts are amazing. Cocktails are perfect. Do not sleep on this place!

Was pleasantly surprised, I thought Joli was out of business but Nathan told me the scoop! Fantastic vibes, delightful atmosphere, calm ambiance, solid food, drinks and superior service. Highly recommend for an easy evening or special occasion

Bartender / waiter was friendly, charismatic, and gave us a run-down of specials, cocktails, descriptions and recommendations on the Italian fare. The chef made probably the best cheesecake, Italian eggrolls (non-dessert canolis), and Italian sliders I've ever had. They have a MASSIVE selection of gin, many of the options from PNW distillers, and offer gin flights.

I live very close and didn’t come here for some time because I wasn’t too excited about the menu, but boy was I wrong! The spicy sheep cheese/coppa with spicy aioli added is my favorite. Truly delicious I could eat here multiple times per week.

Update Oct2025 - since they moved to Joli the sandwiches have been really inconsistent. Mostly the sauce seems to change. The ratios are just off. Hope they can figure it out because when they are good, they are good. But when it’s not as good it’s super disappointing.

Beautiful, lofty space to enjoy the sun or the rain in an upscale but unpretentious atmosphere. Distraction free (no televisions or QR codes). Top notch draft beer and loved the sandwiches -- my Italian Canadian husband said they reminded him of his mom's! If that's not a compliment I don't know what is.

Love their updated menu and some really beautiful and delicious food came out of the kitchen. We had the meatball sandwich with bread on the side, as well as the raw oysters -- Shigoku-- the tasty cauliflower, and a refreshing appetizer that involves cucumbers, sliced red peppers and burrata. They had recent staff turnover so it was wonderful to meet the new bartender Nathan and I think it was Tim in the kitchen that prepared the food in such a way that it was as beautiful to look at as it was delicious to eat.

This place has more than 285 bottles of gin at last count. We enjoyed trying several on the rocks including the Etsu original as well as citrus, a new floral Hendrick's that we had not tried before, and Garrigue, which is from an artisan distillery La Thériaque Spiriteux, based in the south of France, Montpelier, and served in Michelin star restaurants around there. Ask for by name. The ingredients for the gin are foraged and hand harvested by the two women who run the distillery during their foraging trips through the Languedoc region next to the Mediterranean.

Also, when in doubt, and you need a good gin and tonic try the Spanish. It's beautiful.

Vegetarian options: Some great vegetarian options including the cauliflower, the broccoli, the fries, etc.

Parking: The area is almost always packed so parking is something you have to drive around and find in the neighborhood; but don't be discouraged, there's always parking to be found.

Came for happy hour and left bummed — maybe we just tried the wrong stuff! Ordered two cocktails, which were nice, and had 6 oysters and their prosciutto special. Oysters were served with a “limoncello granita” which made them taste weirdly sweet — as oyster lovers we agreed they were the worst we’ve had. Prosciutto special was $16 and had four pieces of prosciutto, which we found overall lacking. All told, we shelled out $70 before tip. Not one to usually leave a review but hard to swallow that bill after such an underwhelming snack and drink.

Joli was enjoyable. The food was good, service was great. Nice setting. Some of the cocktails were not so nice. I returned one and almost returned another. Another guest did same. Might wanna scale back on the tart/bitter quotient. But all in all it was a good experience. I might come back and try the boar bolognese or the lasagna.

Normally I do not do reviews; however I am reviewing this lovely place. We were acknowledged and seated right away. We had a wonderful brunch of Polenta; fritata and homemade bacon. Wonderful experience and reasonably priced.
