Food was delicious. Definitely get the spicy rice cakes. Service was stellar - went way above and far beyond. Will definitely eat here again

The food first is always outstanding here. Second the staff is incredible! Attentive, ready with suggestions and knowledgeable about everything they put out. The cocktail offerings are creative and generous. I come here with my siblings semi regularly and just introduced my daughter to Joule. I will continue to give this restaurant my business and I am sure my daughter will be bringing her people here in the future. Keep up the awesome work!
Our reservation was at 7:30 on a Saturday night, very busy when my husband and I arrived. We were seated on the patio as requested next to a fire pit that was not on and could use a cleaning. Our waiter stopped by our table for a quick greeting and to say he would be with us asap. After getting off to a slow start, the service was acceptable. The food was good, but not a reason to hurry back.
I am a career chef and very impressed with the food coming out of the Joule kitchen. Kudo's to the kitchen crew!! Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and professional. My pro eye thinks she had a station a table too big and spaced out, a few of the between course waits were a little long, however we were in no rush and each course was absolutely worth the small pause. Whether looking at Joule as a Korean restaurant with influences from classic Euro and innovative American, or as a new, creative, seasonal and exciting Seattle restaurant with strong Korean influences, this Joule is a gem!! I ordered the Kimchee sampler to challenge my dislike (chef challenging himself to take a chance) and was blown away by the freshness and distinctive flavors of each of the three. Great, a new culinary rabbit hole for a chef to plunge into. Thanks!
We had a fantastic Friday night dinner at Joule. The Summer Squash and Mackerel were among the many standouts. Service was knowledgeable and attentive. Looking forward to a return visit soon.
Amazing as always, service was lovely to my kiddos and sent us an extra dessert for our anniversary celebration! We always have a great meal at Joule.
We have made it a family tradition to eat at Joule whenever in Seattle. It is often a celebration event. Brandie and her staff are always welcoming and provide excellent service. Food is always excellent with updates to the menu every time we visit. We always look forward to our meal at Joule.
I'm shocked this is a Korean restaurant. It gave vibes of being Italian or american. The spiciest thing on the menu was probably the ranch

We booked our 16th anniversary at Joule based on the OpenTable description of a husband and wife award nominated team and the menu descriptions. The couple does not work at this restaurant and despite the great menu descriptions the food was underwhelming and the service was terrible (despite a mandatory 22% gratuity). We were encouraged to order the entire meal together then we're presented with our salads before our appetizer. The smoked tofu was tasty, but the gem salad is just a ceaser salad. After that it took a crazy long time for our mains. He had the short rib which was a small portion with a weird sauce no side, not even veg. I had the ginger halibut which was dry and had zero ginger flavor. Dessert was a joule box which could have been a breakfast bowl at Smoothie King and the banana fluff ice cream sandwich which was ok. Overall I would not recommend this to anyone visiting Seattle.

I booked this expecting a chef experience but was sorely disappointed. The food was mediocre and clearly a menu designed by better chefs than the ones cooking that night. For example, the fish might be described and "ginger poached", but yet you couldn't taste any ginger. Not to mention the fish was overcooked and the steak too rare. Our service was odd, they brought salads before appetizers and waited a very long time after that before bringing the entrees. The atmosphere felt dark and dingy and the wooden benches were uncomfortable. The kitchen was loud and the music was also at an unpleasant volume. I expected a romantic atmosphere with chef quality food, but I didn't get it. On top of the premium prices was a 22% mandatory gratuity for our party of 2. Overall not a good value.

The food was generally delicious--it is small plate oriented and we ordered a number of dishes for the table. Some were truly exceptional and other not ordinary by any means, but in contrast not at the same level. Unevenness, even if it ranges from extraordinary to just very good, takes the just very good down a notch. But some of the dishes were just extraordinary, including the fried rice and a broccoli dish that was meant for vegan gods. The carnivores at the table raved about the Korean Hamburger. As I say, the worst items were still very good. I am probably being too hard on the food grade, certainly harder than I'd been on restaurants up to a few months ago, when I decided to stop giving most restaurants perfect scores, as I have given Joule in the past. Going forward, no perfect scores except for places I'll still be talking about months from now. The service was perfect--informed, helpful, polite, kind and understated.
Creative and fresh cocktails, delicious food, and wonderful service. The octopus was prepared to perfection, the short rib steak was juicy and tender, and the scallion pancake and bone marrow were wonderful starters to share. Don't miss the Paper Cake for dessert!
Fantastic food in Fremont!! Ate at Joule last night and it is beyond me why it had been so long since we were there. Fabulous and friendly service!! Had a rez inside but inquired about moving outside and was seated outside with a request to be finished by 7:30pm to accommodate other guests. No problem as we were having drinks and a few appys with a friend and got there at 5:50. Delicious food and different!! So refreshing! Great bubbles and cocktails too!! Will be returning in the very near future!!
The food was alright, it wasnt a good korean food.
Also there was a piece of hair on my kalbi burger.

We were visiting some friends in Seattle and they recommended eating at Joule. We had 4 couples eating and we all loved the experience. Our server took excellent care of us. She gave us great recommendations. The best recommendation was that she told us it was a good idea to order a lot of different things off of the menu and to share. This way we could all get a chance to try everything. I was so glad thinks what we did. We didn't order everything off of the menu but we were pretty close. Our favorites of the starters were the spicy rice cake, kimchi trio and the black garlic noodles. My favorite entree was the short rib closely followed by the NY strip. We also enjoyed the octopus. Our least favorite was the mackerel. It had good flavor but is a very strong fish. We recommend going with friends and trying as much as you can.
