Best fried rice in the city. Top notch Chinese BBQ.

Food was great & budget-friendly. Great place if you’re coming with a group because you’re able to reserve a table the day of. Staff were friendly too! But I personally thought that the crispy pork belly was extremely fatty.

Nice old school restaurant with big portions and good flavor. The bbq and roast pork dang good with roast pork fat melting in your mouth.

Probably the cleanest restaurant I been to in Chinatown. Owner will work out spots diligently to keep the tables clean I can see his pride and honor in it.

Simply the best chinese BBQ style pork around. Good Chinese food, sit down or take out, but here's the trick... get 1/2lbs bbq pork, 1/4lbs Side Pork, chicken chow mein, and a plum sauce to go... walk down to the city park and enjoy. Been going here for over 30 years now... best of the best by far. Meat Candy.

Wow! the meat(Roast Duck, Roast Pork and BBQ pork)are juicy and the lunch special deal is a lot like it already included fried rice, bbq pork and vege. Highly recommended! The staff are really nice as well! The cashier is so calm and handles the order well.

Unfortunately, the roast pork had a gamy odor, and the duck was far too salty for my taste. This was my first visit and will likely be my last.

Been a huge fan of this place for 10 years and recently came back after moving out of the area. This place still has the same taste that I fell in love with 10 years ago. My must have- BBQ pork, friend rice, low mein noodles, and honey walnut shrimp.

This is a great place that is a hidden gem!

Had a wonderful bowl of soup and some beautiful bbq pork. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the broth had a great flavour. Everything came hot and perfectly seasoned. Staff is very friendly.

I will definitely be back for more! A must stop next time I’m in Seattle.

Great BBQ. Super fast service. The food seemed to come out instantly. It’s hard to beat Kau Kau for food value. I’m a gai jin but I’ve been eating at the ID for decades.

This place, kinda don't want to review it, and keep it as a hidden gem for locals. Needless to say here we go...
I will start by saying; _personally_ had it not been recommended to me by someone, I would not have gone there while wandering the city. They have a divided entrance for quick take out, or pass the door for dine-in. They do have customer restrooms, huge plus! The menu is diverse. Many options that are best for large parties. Portions are HUGE. As is the price accordingly. Food was fantastic, fresh, and vibrant. Try the Lychee Jelly Soda. 👌. Waiting staff are courteous, and respectful. Always close by attending customers. All in all a great place to grab food with friends and family. One star loss on environmental appearance.

Kau Kau BBQ has been holding it down in Seattle’s Chinatown since 1974, and after 20 years of visits, I can say they’ve never missed a beat. I’ve been gone the past 5 years, tried plenty of BBQ pork in Hong Kong, and still—Kau Kau’s is the best.

The BBQ pork still slaps, the roast pork is crispy perfection (just don’t bite too hard or you might chip a tooth 😅), and the staff treat you like family. The place is always buzzing, full of locals who know what’s up.

If you love authentic Cantonese BBQ with that old-school Seattle soul, this is the spot.
