Today I celebrated St.Patricks day at Kells Irish Pub! This was my first time here and the experience was wonderful. The staff were warm and welcoming as was the location. I tried shepherds pie for the first time and that was delicious. Even sober I had a wonderful time. They stock non alcoholic Guinness and that was perfect 🍀 wonderful place and great food. Highly recommend.

We went in early on a Friday evening. It was not as busy as it should have been, maybe due to a chilly night in February. We started in the bar and had an Irish Stout and a couple of Irish coffees, all great. Van Morrison and other Irish artists on the sound system sounded great. We moved to the dining room for dinner. My lamb stew was near perfection. My wife (of Irish desent) thoroughly enjoyed her beef pasty and house salad. The entire staff was welcoming and delightful. We moved onto our concert thoroughly satiated and in good spirits. Stuffy, fine dining this is not. If you're looking for a hearty, reasonably priced meal done well, in a relaxed casual setting you could do much worse.

Alex is an amazing bartender. Happy, helpful, attentive, easy conversation. We were visiting from North Carolina a few years ago on the weekend when daylight savings ended and the Google opening times and the clocks at all the bars were off. We called and the owner understood and let us come in and have a Guinness and watch NFL. So we came back and found the place is still great! And reserved a table for Super Bowl tomorrow!

Cold, over cooked salmon, almost inedible, served with cabbage and not the dill sauce on the menu (?) lamb stew was lamb soup, server just didn’t care. Would NOT return. But we are still laughing that we got hooked. Just was looking for an Irish pub with Irish food
.

I love this place. It's always a fun time. I work in the Pike Place Market. This is one of those places both locals and tourists like to go.

Why would I trust an “Irish Pub” that doesn’t know that “Shepherd’s Pie” requires lamb? If it’s made with beef, it’s “Cottage Pie.”

False. You just made it worse. They are completely different things from two different centuries. Plus the fact that Cottage Pie (BEEF) is English and Shepherds Pie (LAMB) is Irish. 42 years of being wrong is not the flex you think it is.

Very kool old Irish pub with some spooky history. This bar is in a building that was the place of the first mortician. The lore is that this place is haunted by ghosts of the past.

They have a standard Irish pub menu of bangers and mash, pasties, frites, stew, and such. On this visit, we shared fries and a burger that was brought out hot and tasted good. Service was good considering there were quite a few people here. Servers and bar staff were genuinely friendly.

This place is definitely worth a visit.

The guy serving us at the table was really nice but the lady at the bar was super super rude (despite our generous tips). It was obvious that we are not locals but she was very aggressive while letting us know that we are not allowed to be there without our passports. They should have told this before taking our first orders. In the middle of the night, she kicked out one of our friends. We respect that she was trying to do her job but why not being a bit chill?

Irish cuisine was great. It reminded me of an old fashioned pub and eatery. There were a lot of authentic Irish food, a lot of songs, and the servers were great.

Service wasn't so good, tried to ask for a certain adult beverage, but they had to wing it.

The curry pasty was AMAZING!! I'd never had one before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Delicious. Our drinks were great too! My boyfriend also enjoyed his corned beef and cabbage. Fun environment, though a bit dark and loud (just a warning if you're not into that).
