I was meeting a friend here and forgot to bring my current id. The server noted mine was expired and of course couldn't serve me which is understandable. I asked if I could show her a picture of my current id and she said no, also understandable. I asked if I could let my friend know the situation since he was sitting at the bar a few feet away waiting for me and she insisted I couldn't because of protocol which, again, I get. So I left and texted him from outside in the rain.Tell me why my friend said he had been sitting there drinking for 90 minutes and he was never carded, neither was anyone who came in after him until I got there. It's a crappy thing to whine about because the obvious answer is to bring your current id. But the inconsistency is kind of wild especially since she emphasized that the liquor board was on their case and that's why she had to be such a stickler. Clearly that was a lie or she wouldn't have served -anyone- without carding them.

Good dive bar. We went on a Wednesday and not crowded but it’s cool. The wings are good and nachos were cool. Just a spot to check out while on travel to Seattle.

This place is kinda great. The staff is awesome, the drinks are creative, and the food is delicious. I think the only thing that bugged me was the blue cheese. It was very thin.

Both cocktails were tasting watered down. For the price point I should at least taste something other than a splash of agave over sprite. Dirty martini was giving dirty Tap water with how watered down it was. Not coming back unless I want inspiration to stop going to bars.

Stopped in for a quick lunch so I can't comment on the bar aspect, but the cauliflower wings were pretty good. I like that they were very lightly breaded, and had a nice pickled flavor. I did not like the BBQ sauce. Chicken wings were good too, just on the pricey side for a few wings. Nice atmosphere and service was prompt.

King Leroy as someone referred to, aa good dive bar in downtown Seattle. The place has a really good atmosphere, although the bar area is kind of narrow and if it’s crowded, is hard to maneuver. The drinks are pretty good and I really enjoyed the Mezcal margarita. The food is what you might expect in a bar. Average bar food. Overall, I would recommend a place somewhere to go for a drink or two and hang out. Good seating there as well.

I went to King Leroy on a weekend evening, and every weekend there is an all day happy hour. This means that the chicken wings and tater tots (along with cauliflower wings) are half off, and I ordered the chicken wings with buffalo sauce and tater tots with habanero honey sauce. I thought the wings were nice and crispy but still retained good flavor and were juicy. The buffalo sauce seemed to have more of a vinegar flavor, so I wasn't the biggest fan of it. The tater tots were also crispy, and I enjoyed the habanero honey because it was more sweet than spicy. I really appreciated how the food came with moist towelettes. King Leroy has a very casual setting, but it's still good for conversation. You order at the bar counter and can sit down at one of the booths or barstools. There is limited booth seating, but the barstools at the counter were comfortable and had back support. It is 21+ and you're expected to show your ID at the bar counter right when you walk in.

Looking for a “dive bar” in downtown Seattle isn’t easy. I’m hopeful that if more people add those two words to King Leroy reviews this gem will be easier to find. It’s location is basically in the back of an Amazon delivery van! So, no, there aren’t many options for down and dirty dives. King Leroy’s is all things great about dove bars. First and foremost the staff is chill, pleasant, helpful, fun, funny and they know BEER. The crowd was a nice mix of locals, tech workers, lunch crowd but, not me (a tourist). Check out reviews for Deep Dive then picture it’s opposite. That’s Kinf Leroy and I love him for that. Love the window bar seating, amazing people watching perch. YOU GOTTA SEE THE BATHROOM TOO!

Seemed like it could be great. A good location and the view was nice. The food others ordered looked good. We were not asked about another drink until we finally decided to leave. We would love to try again another time we are visiting Seattle.
