Great food all around, sushi rolls are an amazing deal. Service is also great, some of the best I’ve had in years.

Insane value - sushi is solid and the prices are unbeatable. Elite pregame spot as well
Horribly rude woman working here. While my girlfriend was packing our food in the box, the waitress literally grabbed my girlfriend's hand and finished the job for her! Borderline assault.
Imagine someone literally grabbing your hands and controlling your actions just because they want you to hurry up! Insane.
We had visited this place quite a few times, but will never be coming back. That kind of behavior is a deal breaker.
Sayonara!

I had a terrible experience with racism here. While I was putting my food in a container, the waitress (an old lady) came to our table and took control of my hand to finish placing my food in the to-go box in a rush because apparently I was taking to much time... as if I couldn't do it myself. I was in shock; it was so disrespectful. Afterward, she left with the empty dishes without any explanation or apology.
Always good sushi. The best prices in town.

Ku sushi has been here forever but remains a U-District staple for a reason. Their menu is diverse, pricing is affordable and most of all their sushi is great! An amazing spot to go with friends, not so intimate a spot for a date night.

This place is great if you know what to get. I usually come with a small group and we order to share
- some of the cheap rolls, which are not exceptional but ARE great value for cost and complement the following really well
- tteokbokki (the spicy Korean rice cakes), optionally with ramen noodles
- the pork belly with kimchi
- fried chicken
Of these the pork belly with kimchi is the most unique – I don't know of anywhere else in Seattle that does the particular chunky, crispy cuts that Ku does, and the kimchi is a great pairing. Everyone in my group who likes pork belly loves this one.
tldr: yes, the menu is hit and miss, but if you take figure out your favorites, it's a great place to get a varied meal.
