Not too impressed. Upon arrival, I couldn’t figure out why so many people were dining outside and only a few groups were inside. As I got to the entrance, it was so hot. I knew I wanted to sit outside too if I was going to eat there. I don’t know how the staff stands to work in there. Hopefully the place has a/c but it just happened to be broke down that day. I was disappointed that the chips and salsa are not complimentary. You will have to pay $5 from the appetizer menu if you want any. Speaking of appetizers, I’m guessing that is what I ordered because it wasn’t much food. It was ok but I could have eaten more. What was the worst overall is that we were only checked on one time and that was when I was about ready to pay. The server only asked if I wanted more water. I guess the soda is not refillable. Quite sad. It seemed like everyone there was having a good time. Not me.

The mole was not bad, but not really that special.

I hate to leave a negative review because I rarely do, but I feel this place has really declined. I used to make the drive from Tacoma because the food was consistently excellent. Now, it feels like they have so many customers that food quality is no longer a priority.
For example, I was offered chips and salsa, but instead got chips and guacamole and they charged $10 for it. While the atmosphere and customer service are still decent, the food itself is disappointing. Our meat wasn’t cooked properly, and overall the dishes felt sloppy.
The owner really needs to step in and ensure the kitchen maintains the standards they once had. Very disappointing compared to what this place used to be.

Delicious place to get a bite with friends. We came on a very busy day and the servers were very kind, quick, and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered.

Went with friends after a long convention day. The food came out fast and absolutely delicious. Not a grain of rice left behind on my plate. Plus they have a self serve chips and salsa bar. Highly recommend this place.

A great place to sip margs, munch on chips and guacamole, and then to get into a delicious meal.
Any questions on the authenticity just walk in the door and look to your left. You’ll see a woman working her Oaxacan magic in the Mexican looking kitchen.
I mean, we were sitting around other tables and chatting and everyone loved their meal.
And the place was packed.
The Wet Burrito is a great starting place. The server described it as complex and a lot of flavors. It was all that with every bite.
My friend had the Mole, since Oaxaca is the home of Mole, and it tasted great.
The guacamole was excellent. The chips were hot.
This is a fantastic restaurant to get familiar with. Add the great service, and you have the makings of an excellent restaurant.

I don’t live in Seattle, but whenever I am here, this place is a MUST for me. I first came here over 7 years ago and my experiences are excellent every time. The food is incredible, the portions are generous, the service is shockingly quick, and the drinks are great. I dream about the al pastor tacos and the quesadillas fritas all the time.
