They have an 'Okay' food grade rating and now I can tell why. I ate here last yr and it was alright, but something has happened to the food quality. The tacky decor was covered in dust and the vents looked like they hadn't been cleaned in 20yrs (that's blowing into your food, folks, gross!)
The tamale tasted and smelled weird, it didn't smell like a food item, I can't place it, maybe old plastic/chemical of some sort? I got a to go order and my meal had pools of grease all over it. The tortilla on the quesadilla was hard and old, the salsa tasted like watered down canned tomatoes. The guac had rotten spots in it. The enchilada 'sauce' tasted like an old can. The beans and rice were good. Won't be revisiting and am regretting my choice as I head to the bathroom.

Good authentic Mexican food, best refried beans I have ever had! best chips & salsa in the neighborhood The margaritas are fantastic also, 2 is plenty to get your happy hay on and decently priced.

The place is so cool, and the decorations are so nice, the servers are so kind. But the food is not that tasty anymore in comparison to the last year I visited this place, the prices are okay fair enough for what they serve.

The food was mediocre at best. I ordered the fish tacos. Tasted like they had 1000 island dressing on them. Waiter was visibly intoxicated and got the bill wrong at the end. The best part was the chips and sauce.

Great service and great food. Large margaritas are great... except if you plan to drive. So get the sopapias and enjoy.

Amazing restaurant. Feels super family friendly and sweet consistent staff
Steak fajitas and chicken mole are my go to

They do free chips and salsa which is how you know they’re the real deal

Lived in Seattle forever and never been here but finally have and not regretted it but now that that I have I’m looking forward to going again.

To be fair, it's probably more me than poor food. The food is just different than we expected. The enchilada sauce was more like mole sauce. The waiter was fantastic. I appreciate the way he handled the situation. So please try it if mole sauce on your enchiladas is your thing.

I’ve been coming here for a while, and it never disappoints. The grande margarita is a must-try—you’re guaranteed a fun time! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is classic, family-style Mexican cuisine that’s consistently great. I’ll keep coming back!

Decent place to hang out for an un-rushed, late lunch on a drizzly Friday afternoon. Attentive service, decent food. I'll return.

I am from Arizona which is right next to Mexico so I grew up on Mexican food. I was pleasantly surprised to find a Mexican food place in Seattle. La Palma is off a rather busy road so keep that in mind when looking for the place. You can't miss its bright, festive sign and there was plenty of parking in the front. Now there is flight of stairs you will have to go up and I forgot to ask the host about handicap access so if that is your situation you may want to call ahead and verify. The decor was very festive and familiar to anyone who has been to a Mexican place. The host was very friendly and seated me right away. He had some corny dad-jokes which were funny. I think he might have been the owner since he obviously loves talking to customers and he talked to a couple who were obviously regulars. You get a bowl of chips and salsa when seated. The menu is extensive and has all of the old Mexican favorites. I had a combo dinner with a beef taco, a chicken enchilada, a beef tamale all with rice and beans. Yeah I had a lot of food left over. But it's as good. Just not as spicy as I would have liked but I chalked it up to local preferences as I do live in Arizona and they like things REALLY spicy down there. I didn't have a cocktail but I did notice an extensive alcohol list and the standbys like margaritas are on offer. My total cost was a VERY reasonable $24 with tax and I left a $5 tip. I was almost taken aback at how reasonable the prices were compared to what I experienced in Seattle. I really enjoyed my meal and would heartily recommend La Palma if you find yourself on the west side of Queen Anne.
