Le Pichet is one of those places where the experience makes far more sense once you understand what it’s aiming to emulate (at least what I think they're going for). I’d seen reviews calling out the service, and after dining here, I can see how that impression forms. But if you’ve ever eaten in France proper, the approach at Le Pichet is, somewhat ironically, very French: welcoming but never pressing, relaxed rather than rushed, and built around the idea that you’re here to linger, enjoy your meal, and savor the company you’re with. It’s a rhythm all its own, and once you settle into it, the entire experience feels intentional and refreshing. The menu leans fully into a French farmhouse sensibility, and their charcuterie is a standout strength. Cured meats, fresh baguette, rich aiolis, and generous butter had me happily starting my day in the most indulgent way possible. Not every element transported me straight to Provence, but enough did that I found myself briefly whisked away. The interior matches the vibe: rustic, vintage, and cozy, the kind of space that invites you to slow down whether you planned to or not. If you’re seeking classic French comfort with an unhurried spirit, Le Pichet is absolutely worth a visit.

It is a quaint little french bistro. When I say french I do mean FRENCH. You're getting some of the same things that you would in Paris. Don't go expecting crepes and such, but instead more cured meats, goat cheese donuts, baguettes, etc.

This isn't a bad thing - not at all, but you need to know what to expect when you get there. Read the menu on their website and get a good feel for the more appropriate French cuisine that you will find.

The service is also, funny enough, about the same as what I have received in Paris proper on my many trips there. That is to say - not excessively good, not bad... but attentive to a certain point and invisible otherwise. So you are getting a real taste of Paris - intentional or not :)

My wife and I went to Le Pichert for brunch after Mass, and had a great experience. We were served by Hamish, and he was incredible. I can also say, with an extreme level of confidence, Hamish makes the best cappuccino in the city. He even gave us a history lesson on how it got its name - which was a fun addition to the already incredible cappuccino. I highly recommend.

My wife and I are visiting from Texas. Our son’s is 2 and goes to sleep early. We were craving something delicious and thankfully the staff allowed me to place an order for take out. We got the Bavette grillée aux frites et son aillade aux amandes. We’re Texans. Our diets consists of steaks pretty regularly and I will say this meal did not disappoint! Even to go it was perfectly cooked and the fries were next level!! Again thank you to the le pichet staff for the hospitality and the amazing food!!

Small, characterful restaurant: popular and busy. Service is excellent and our bavette steaks with chips were superb. Booking advised. Fairly expensive - like everything in Seattle - but well worth it. 😋

The food is excellent at this restaurant. The issue is the poor service, specifically from an extremely rude female server. She had a bad attitude when taking our order and acted like she didn’t want to be there at all. She was also very impatient when we were asking for things like extra butter. Moreover, she lacks entirely server etiquette. For instance, she puts things down very loudly. When I gave her my credit card for the bill, she took it from my hand abruptly in a very disrespectful manner without acknowledging it.

I was going to tip her less but the restaurant automatically adds 20% service fees to the bill. I’m not sure if they do this cuz they’re aware of her bad service.

All other servers we interacted with were nice. But our main server was not professional or attentive. We recommend to avoid this restaurant if you value service as an important aspect of your dining experience.

We had dinner last night and definitely would return. A copy, intimate restaurant with amazing food. I had the special - clams and they were to die for. The only thing I did not like was the 20% service fee that was automatically applied. I know that many restaurants are doing this but why are we paying for staff wages? I didn't think our server was worthy of 20% though the other server was more attentive.

Le Pichet has been a staple of Seattle for years. Embarrassed to say this was my first visit in years. Food - AMAZING. Stafff was great other than the welcomed. He was brisk. Not a big place, but so worth it.
