We've lived in the neighborhood for 8 years and haven't really given this place a try until recently. I love all their uniquely flavored pastries, and their croissants that are made with phyllo which is extra crispy and delicious. I also appreciate their matcha lattes which are whisked properly which most places don't do. Most coffee shops also keep their matcha powder in a drawer/container rather than in a metal tin which causes it to oxidize.
In short, this place is great, there is a cute outdoor patio as well that is dog friendly to relax and enjoy your beverage and pastries.
Absolutely amazing place to grab a coffee and sweet or savory breakfast. All of the pastries are delicious. The chicken biscuit is so good I had it 3 days in a row. Burritos are great too. Staff is amazing and treat you like you like royalty. Also they have allergy/gluten free donuts my little one absolutely loved.
Excellent bakery with great pastries and coffee.
Great little cafe with tasty baked goods and a yummy iced tea.
Tried the lemon chocolate croissant at Moonrise Bakery and it was amazing! The creamy lemon filling had a bright, tangy flavor that paired beautifully with the rich chocolate. Perfectly balanced and wonderfully unique — definitely a must-try!
Moonrise Bakery has become one of my favorite go-to spots in Queen Anne. I’ve been here multiple times and it never disappoints. The location is great, the vibe is relaxed, and the ambiance is cozy — perfect for a casual coffee or breakfast outing. Their chicken biscuit is my absolute favorite — super flavorful and satisfying. I also really enjoy their lattes; they’re consistently well made. A solid local gem that I always look forward to visiting!
Love this little neighborhood joint. It’s the perfect spot to grab a pastry and drink and sit on their porch to chat with friends. I had their matcha latte and it was lovely! Had the perfect amount of matcha to give it that earthy flavor and no sweetener, just how I like it. I’m sure you can add sweetness to your liking.
All in all, if you need a spot in the sun to yap with your girls this is it!
But very pricey
their service is SLOW. even when there's no line, it regularly takes 5-7 minutes to even get your order taken. definitely don't bother if you're in a hurry!
Not what it used to be. Something happened the past 6 months or so. Overpriced, bad service, and the food is just ok. Lot of other places to visit around here that are better.

Next level pastries and coffee. The outdoor seating area is nice in fair weather.

Easily one of the best cafes in seattle. I love Olympia coffee though, so it's a small bias. Amazing pastries take it to the next level. No indoor seating so it's sort of a stop and go place.

Coffee prices went up astronomically. $5.40 for a cortado before tax. Go next door to QA coffee co to get one for a more normal $4.00 which is still higher than most shops.
I miss their old normal pastries and sandwiches with things like a whole sausage patty.
New pastries are overly sweet and sized to feed 2-4 people in a single item. The new croissant monstrosities are major offenders here. Their sandwich quality has also gone down over the last year. I used to love their sausage egg sando, but they have reduced and reduced the amount of meat to the point where it's just an egg sando now. Not worth the price.
