Very European … the atmosphere and the coffee & pastries (I love spinach-filled savories!). We got ‘hooked’ on the shop at West Seattle’s Sunday Farmer’s Market.
My mother is Czech-American; so the romance of this cozy store deeply appeals!
I love that you can get sweet or savory pastries here because so many Seattle cafes don't have food that feels like a substantial breakfast. I really love the mushroom pastries and all of the different fruit kolaches. Consistently get the best iced lattes from here with lots of options and the staff is always super friendly and wonderful!!
WOW!!! The blueberry kolache knocked my socks right off! The dough was a little bit sweet and little bit chewy in that satisfying way that gives it "bite", exactly as it should be. Fresh, thick cream in the middle was dusted with a thin crispy sugar and the blueberries burst with sweet juicy goodness.Worth every penny ($7). This place is dangerously good. The location is perfect and, I'm sure, expensive. Cannot wait to bring my Czech friend here!
