Luc is such a gem for Seattlites. It's sad that this place had to close but am so very glad that we got to have one last bite. Had the foie gras, meat and cheese plate, salmon, steak & frites, and the chocolate torte. So good.

We enjoyed the last dinner (sadly) at Luc before it closes on August 28, with careful attention to Covid protocols, for our outdoor seating reservation. The food was exemplary, finished off with the surprisingly light yet rich chocolate torte. Thank you, Chef Thierry for being your gracious self and even opening and serving the wine selection. Best wishes to you and your staff in your future endeavors.

We wanted to experience Luc one last time before it closes. We had a wonderful meal and really pleasant conversations with Chef Thierry! The occasion was our 49th wedding anniversary. We're really going to miss Loulay and Luc, but know Chef Thierry will do well in his retirement.

Was one of the most lovely meals I've ever had! Delicious from top to bottom and Mr Thierry Rautureau himself stopped by to say hello in the most kind and entertaining manner!

Well, let's just say that the closing of our beloved Luc Restaurant is a HUGE loss to Seattle. Incomparable in fact! Lus is--was-- one of only two restaurants in Seattle that always pleased us 110%. The food is exquisite, the wines perfectly complimentary, service excellent and very friendly, and Monsieur "Chef in the Hat" a total delight to meet. We shall miss Luc and its gentile owner for the rest of our lives in Seattle. We walked out of Luc last night at 10:00 with very heavy hearts, but also with joy that we were able to celebrate our anniversary dinner (# 53) once more in its lively and engaging atmosphere. Ave atque vale!

The food was amazing. I had the beef bourginon and I wanted to scrape the bowl clean. My server was very good and often checked in to see if there was anything I needed. So sad this was my last visit since they are closing soon. What a loss!

We love Luc. It's been one of our top go to special event places to sit and have stunningly good food and drink. We're very very sorry you'll be closing. Thank you so much for all the great meals over the years.

Our entire neighborhood is heartbroken that Luc is reaching its final days. It has always been a great local resource, with outstanding food and service and a wonderful vibe. Thank you Thierry and Kathy and crew!

One of my favorite restaurants, I am so sad to see it close. Great memories and even better food!

As everyone knows by now, Luc and its famous local celebrity chef - Chef in the Hat, Thierry Rautureau, winner of James Beard Award, is hanging up his hat. The pandemic closed Loulay, and now Luc is closing, too. He's going into semi-retirement but will stay in the area. Perhaps there'll be more pop-ups. We used to see him yearly at Bite of Seattle hosting the Chef Cooks segment. He was plenty gracious during dinner, visiting every table greeting every guest. Ah, we'll miss this guy, so full of personality. I've always had a fondness for Luc. I find their prices to be quite reasonable for French food, and also quite tasty overall. In its final weeks and due to the pandemic as well, they are offering a limited menu, which can be found on their website. Reservations are very booked up by now. There might be some 8:45pm ones left. The Food: Boeuf Bourguignon, $29 - 5 Stars Menu: Kobe-style beef, whipped potato, carrot, onion, celery, mushroom, lardon, grilled baguette. This is easily the most popular dish at the restaurant. Every table ordered at least one of these. Be sure to order bread for the table to help soak up the sauce. King Salmon, Market Seafood Dish of the Day, $39 - 5 Stars That salmon is so perfectly seared! Oh my. It was absolutely delicious. With some farm fresh garden veggies, this was an excellent dish. Handcut Fries and Harissa Aioli , $7 - 4 Stars They're French, no ketchup allowed. ;) The harissa aioli was wonderfully savory. Grand Central Baguette and Smith Brothers Farms Butter, $5 - 4 Stars Local breads and local butter, it's worth the extra money for good table service bread, which incidentally is great with the Boeuf Bourguignon. Lavender Peach Spritz (non-alcoholic), $5 - 4 Stars Yummy

The sad news first: Luc is closing at the end of August due to losing their lease. Get in if you can. This is French comfort food blended with touches of haute cuisine. The proprietors are incredibly friendly, as is all the staff. Everything my wife and I tried was superb. If Luc opens in another location, I will be one of the first in line.

One of, if not, my very favorite restaurant in Seattle. Been going there with family and friends since they opened 11 years ago. The service is always gracious, the food so good you want to order a second. Shared a lovely dressed burrata tomato salad. I had a salmon dish last night that was delicious from first to last bite. My partner ordered the Beef Bourguignon, always his favorite, he did offer me a taste of its silken sauce, amazing. Rounded off with a warm chocolate torte with caramel mousse. Always a pleasure to be in this restaurant.

The food and the Chef in the Hat were over the top. I brought some friends that had never experienced high end food and were blown away by the flavors that just popped. It was a different level of dining to them. The prices of the food freaked them out, but once they tried it they realized how good it was and worth it! I will miss it when they close down in a few weeks. I have been a fan of the Chef since 1990

Had an enjoyable enough meal and everything was well executed, but didn't find it mindblowing for the price. I'll still be sad to see it go though.
