The pad thai the the best I've had in Seattle. The pineapple rice at a three star heat had a lovely mouth numbing spice. The fresh chicken lettuce wraps, they have you make at the table. I highly recommend asking for an extra serving of the cucumber salad if you get that, since it is delicious and there is a LOT more chicken than salad to stuff the wraps with.
The fried rice is a crazy amount of food. Awesome value, and the smell of the golden rice is just magical.
Service was friendly and prompt, even though we were in there 10 pm on a Friday.
I'll be by again. What an awesome place.

Ignore any reviews below 5 stars. They have amazing food, but what made me want to write this, is a recent order had the wrong protein and I just barely mentioned to double check it please and I showed up and she gave it to me for free to make up for it. Thank you guys! Absolutely worth going to for Thai!

Hours are not accurate on google.
Used to be a much better restaurant, now they post inaccurate hours, take four calls to pick up, serve congealed noodles, dry beef and bad plates. Really disappointed

These guys do a significant amount of business through take-out, which definitely affected our evening.
We were seated immediately during the Sunday dinner rush and served water immediately. Three people were waiting for takeout orders and there was a flow of people coming in during the 80-90 minutes we were there. After a chunk of time, our order was taken but the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed because it took a good amount of time for appetizers to come out. We needed to ask for water refills as well. The server apologized when we received our apps, indicating that this service was atypical and she knew we waited too long. When it comes to the apps (fresh rolls, chicken satay and grilled pork), the sauces were delightful and it is very clear that the kitchen generally knows what they are doing. The shrimp in the fresh rolls and my curry were overcooked however, and the chicken also was overcooked slightly. We also shared a papaya salad, and the flavor profile was off - too much bitter and not enough sour/tart as I've had in the past.
I am still giving Maa Kiin 4 stars because this feels like an off night for them - either they are short staffed or/and they have new people in the kitchen that aren't closely watching the proteins when they cook. The prep chef is on point with sauces, however, indicating there is the likelihood of a great experience in the future. I suspect coming at another time would garnish a 5 star review, and I will not hesitate to do so next time I am in the area! Definitely give them a shot, but maybe reconsider dining in if it is a weekend!

Weird hours. Show up and they’re closed randomly sometimes even though the hours say they’re open
This Thai restaurant has excellent food and doesn’t have the higher pricing of nearby competitors. Highly recommended!

Lowkey Thai spot with a simple vibe. I tried the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Pad Kee Mao, and a few curries are decent, but nothing special. The Kao Soi was the highlight, rich, flavorful, and comforting. Chicken satay had good flavor but was a bit dry. Curry puffs were also dry and could really use a dipping sauce. The Thai green tea was tasty, but too much ice. Service was good. They recently raised their prices, which feels a bit steep for the quality. Not sure how authentic the dishes are overall.

Maybe it was an off night or maybe we ordered the wrong things, but our experience did not line up with the good ratings. The staff were friendly and polite, but couldn't tell me the ingredients in the butterfly pea flower tea when I was asking if it had caffeine or was just herbal. It had a jasmine tea taste and tannin feel, definitely not just the butterfly pea flowers, and also a ton of sugar and milk which was unexpected since that was not written on the menu or mentioned by the server. The curry puffs had a good filling but the shell was very thick and dry, the beef pad seeiw was surprisingly terrible with beef so dry it was like jerky and the flavor was way off, we didn't bring home the leftovers. The chicken pad thai was better yet still mediocre. I ordered extra spicy, Thai style 6 stars, but it was very mild, maybe 3 stars, with no spices on the table to adjust it. Disappointing for a place with so much potential.

Good food and good service. Can't ask for more.
Fairly large portions which, considering the quality, makes it very good value.

The Thai Tea cocktail was so yummy! Legit like a good Thai tea with rum! The panang curry was flavorful and delicious! Reasonable prices as well!

Really great Thai food! Their Khao Soi is some of the best I've had in Seattle, and the Pad Thai is definitely up there too.

This Thai restaurant was pleasant. Very quiet on a Sunday with one server but we never had to wait long and our overall service was great. Everything was delicious with special emphasis on the curries and soups. Will definitely return when in the area.
