Went there on the recommendation of Elizabeth - bartender at Jude's. Had the Best Bitter - excellent.

Machineworks is always great for an excellent, traditional English cask ale. Low key, no frills pub environment with the occasional food truck. Trivia night is on Thursday and they watch ⚽ sometimes.

I have nothing but heavily coisterous praise for this place, nay I even give it Cheers... picture this.... you are making your way in this world today and you're giving it all you've got You are trying so God damn hard to earn your way and have to forage ahead. You find yourself desperately needing to take a break from all your worries,Sure would help a lot...Wouldn't you like to get away?(like the rest of us poor souls). All those nights when you've got no lightsThe check is in the mailAnd your little angelHung the cat up by it's tailAnd your third fiance didn't show... because she wasn't the "Norm" .....Sometimes you just wanna go to a familiar type of place... a place where everybody knows your name.and they're always glad you came. You wanna be where you can see that many of our troubles are all the same, you wanna be where everybody knows your name. A place where you can roll out of bed, Mr. Coffee is not going to be as lively as this place.Be glad there's one place in the world where. everybody knows your name.....And come to think of it, they're always glad you came.....You wanna go where people know , that the People are all the same. You wanna go where everybody knows your name.... Pints on the shelf happen to be engraved, because they also have my name on it... and clearly EVERYONE KNOWS MY NAME... or they can just read it from my glass. Anywho..." this place is foundational to what dreams may come" - Bill Shakespear

English-style cask ales brewed on site comes to the Hillman City neighborhood of South Seattle.I love Machine House Brewing! Pleased that their new location feels like "home" with the exposed brick walls and the brew works in back. The sidewalk seating is a nice addition to the vibe. And I LOVE that they play Reign matches on the TV!

Phenomenal cask ales and friendly service. Amiable atmosphere.

Great neighborhood trivia. I love the logo, and the beer isn't all hazy IPAs. A pretty well balanced menu, imho

So bad experience, is so disappointing tht the bar tender gave my boyfriend's card to someone else, they got it back, my BF gave them a call to see if there was any chance that he can come come and pick it up, they said yes, we drove back to get the card and they lost it AGAIN! I CAN'T BELIEVE that this place didn't care or even let us know that they lost the card AGAIN. NEVER COMING BACK. If you go there, careful with your credit cards.

The most convincing cask beer I've had in the US. The new venue retains the charm and conviviality of the original space. I'm not saying it's a place where everybody knows your name, but still: Cheers!

If you like cask beer, aka real ale, Machine House makes the best in the NW. You'll have to fly to England for its like. Looking fwd to learning the new location.

Such a great location! The beers are amazing and the staff is fantastic. The landlords on the other hand are greedy and unsupportive of small local businesses

Great atmosphere and building. Solid cask ales . Taking off a star because Staff could be a bit more friendly.

Brilliant examples of classic beer styles not often enough celebrated in America. You want session beers? Put down the soapy seltzer and pick up a dark mild.
