Macrina is my go-to when I want a sure thing for pastries and bread. Classics like the croissants sell out, so mornings are your friend. Coffee is solid, and locations feel bright and welcoming—easy for quick catch-ups. If you’re headed east, the Mercer Island café is a convenient stop right off I-90. Everything travels well; I often grab a loaf to elevate a simple dinner at home.

I’m not sure how this place could be anything less than 5 stars! Amazing staff, FANTASTIC coffee and great food!! The ham and Gruyère pastry was my favorite. As well as the peanut butter cookie. Lots of space inside and outside the bakery. People catching up or doing work. Everything is good you can’t go wrong!

We tried the blueberry scone and almond pinwheel, they were more like bread, very little sugar, nothing special

I stopped to get a cup of decent coffee for my 1 hrs. drive. I was grateful for the lukewarm coffee because it was late in the day and on my route but the price of $5.02 seems high and really weird. It was the average lrg cup. Smaller than a Vente. Seems oddly negligent to me that someone hasn't fixed that. A bit of irony considering that pennies aren't going to be made anymore... . .🤔
Go ahead and laugh but I'm a little scared to go back.

Small but mighty. Great coffee. The cherry hand pie at this location was way too crumbly, falling apart in my hands as I bit it ..I would guess from too much shortening or lard.
The nectarine upside down cake was better.
I would rank the new MI location over this one on every level but as far as Queen Anne goes...a solid bakery stop.
Love the Orange Pinwheel pastry!

Delicious coffee and bagels
Feel completely robbed.
I bought three chocolate croissants, and as I was about to pay, a young lady told me the third one was offered because it was slightly damaged. I appreciated the gesture and thought it was a nice commercial move.
But in the end, I was charged around $20 and realized I had actually paid for the damaged one.
Even worse, when I opened the box, none of the croissants were fluffy; they were very hard, almost as if they were failed batches.
I feel totally ripped off paying for that. It’s not professional, nor respectful toward customers.
I definitely do not recommend this store.
I love this place! Local bakery with space to sit and enjoy company with treats in hand. I recommend their bagels and breakfast sandwiches 100% Also perfect for lunch or just grabbing desserts.
I purchased 2 chocolate babkas in this location because last year I remember they were really good. This year Both were dry, stale and had no flavor at all. I complaint to them via instagram and was not offered some sort of compensation for the cakes that I had to throw to the garbage. Very disappointing food and customer service?
