The Spinach, Pepper Jack, and Jalapeno pastry was surprisingly good, and Seattle is spoiled with good bakery/coffee shops, so I'm sad that I waited until I was a few blocks away to try the Rose-Geranium latte, because the staff didn't get to see the "Oh my god" reaction it shocked me into. I ordered it because it sounded crazy, but was such a pleasant surprise and reminder as to why I go out of my way to try new places.

First time visiting, it has been on my list for a while now. The neighborhood it is located in is adorable, and would make for a lovely fall walk along the water or for window-shopping along with a pastry in hand. The interior of the shop is very charming and inviting and seeing all of the pastries options just fills you will excitement as you imagine what they might taste like. Unfortunately, some things are better imagined in your head because this bakery falls short in many areas. I got a variety of items, cookies, donuts, cupcakes, olive bread, etc. and I was disappointed in all of them. The chocolate chip cookie was harder than algebra and the raspberry filled donut was stale and boring, the chocolate buttercream cupcake was okay, but I’m not in the market for a just okay cupcake. It’s a shame because this place is super cute and I just wish they had better items to offer. Having tried many bakeries in Seattle, I’m just not satisfied with mediocre.
Parking: Lots of spots right out front of the shop

Neighborhood bakery with decent coffee and pastries. Nice that they have decorative sugar cookies for the kids. Service is always attentive and friendly. My only complaint is about their cakes. I've only bought one - the Red Velvet - and although beautiful, it was an extremely mediocre cake-experience; dry and just not very good at all. Disappointing for a $65 birthday cake.

I ordered a cake for my daughter last week. First of all, when picking up the cake order, the service from one of the boys at the register was super weird and not communicative at all, we stand there for about 8 minutes by just seeing how he packed the cake and then handed to us with no words or any kind gestures. Second, the cake was really dry, there was barely any caramel filling, and it was really expensive. If this is the service they always have at this place, I wouldn’t recommend it at all!
Madison Park Bakery has truly blossomed under the new ownership. The friendly and wonderful staff make every visit a delight. The changes they've made are impressive, especially the exceptional food and quality coffee, which never disappoint.
However, I must beg, plead, pray for them to bring the old apple fritter back. The recipe has changed, and it’s just not the same.
Please, we are begging you to bring back the original apple fritter! I’ll pay whatever you’d like.

Super sweet, looking cute bakery, and a very adorable part of Madison Park by the waterfront. You want it to be more than it is but really it’s a neighborhood bakery run by the local high school dudes that aren’t passionate about selling baked goods. We had a lemonade that was nothing to write home about and I really wanted to buy something, but nothing really called out to me so I bought some granola and some focaccia Croutons for dinner later that night. The granola has a bitter taste probably due to an imbalance of the cardamom in this pumpkin pie granola. I just can’t taste the pumpkin. The focaccia croutons are much better, but overly salted. Maybe I should’ve gone with a cookie?

The one pound cream filled almond croissants are just wow! The sliced meat pastrami sandwich is the best ever! Donuts are used with premium ingredients. This is also a sustainable bakery. What does that mean? Some pastries are made by using the croissants from the day before and twice baking them with adding other ingredients to make it taste better then the bakery offers food to the employees before offering it to Mary's Place. That means no food is garbage!

This place is awesome. The bakeries like this are disappearing. Some are getting poorer quality ingredients while some are going "high end" away from classic goodness. This place is worth the drive.

This formerly was one of the best bakeries in Seattle. Alas that is no more. New ownership took over many months back and completely changed all the offerings and quality. I would hardly even call it a proper bakery anymore at this point. I’ve tried to go back several times over several months since the ownership change it it’s not improved. Very slim offerings of much lower quality now.
