Lattes are delicious and reasonably priced. Atmosphere is very communal. It clearly is a neighborhood cafe where the owner cares about her community. It's pet-friendly. It's a very cozy vibe. Thursdays - there is food!

Went for a super tasty latte and muffin this morning. Seems like a neighborhood spot for many, though I'm not in Greenwood myself. But two stars off because things are really messy and dirty. I don't mind a lot of decor/clutter, especially since it seemed to add to the vibe in certain ways, but there's a hoarder-type room in back and the bathroom had cobwebs, overflowing trash, etc. There was also no music. None. This made for extended periods of silence, save for my friend and I chatting. It just is really strange to not play any music to set some kind of vibe in my opinion. Definitely awesome for being a cozy spot, just would like it to be a bit cleaned up with some music and then I'd be loving it.
That being said, I saw many cute dogs, especially Mingus :)
Makeda & Mingus makes the best Cold Brew Coffee in the city - and I've tried them all! Such a fun place to grab a coffee, chat with the owner and other customers there enjoying their delicious coffee. A community & neighborly feel to grabbing a coffee at M&M, something that's harder to find despite all the coffee shops in the city. 10/10!

A coffee shop with toys! My son loves coming here to play.
The barista was very friendly, quick with our order and made very delicious drinks. The cafe is nice and quiet and we will come back when we’re in the area :)
My partner and I were able to get a yummy treat with our drinks for under 10$ each.
I recommend the chocolate croissant

We came for dinner, which is served only on Thursday nights. Delicious, home-cooked Indian food. Here we have the chicken, which looks simple, but has a really tasty, subtly flavored broth. And the spinach daal. I’ve also had their Aloo Gobi. All the food has been great. The menu was the same both times (those three dishes), separated by a couple of weeks, so I’m guessing it doesn’t change very often.
Portion size was generous and price was great. We had some leftovers, and spent only about $15 a person for dinner.
Eating outside was lovely, but the indoor atmosphere was a little dark with a small, barking dog.
We’ll definitely be back!
Vegetarian options: Two out of the three dinner options were vegetarian.

Small, stuffy coffee shop that felt messy and unorganized. Rootbeer was sitting next to me the whole hour I was there without being bussed, and there was an old printer and boxes with a random door in the main area.
Chai latte wasn’t flavorful at all, but price was good.
Owner(?)/barista was chopping raw chicken up front while talking about politics with a friend the whole time I was there. They then were watching videos on their phone at the front during a slow period which made it hard for me to focus on my work as there’s no other music or sound in the place.
Just an odd vibe of a place but there were many regulars who came in and the owner/barista seems very friendly and like they make good relationships with regulars in the area.

I love this coffee shop!! I just moved to the neighborhood and am so happy to have this so close. The most dog friendly coffee shop I’ve been to (my dog loves the shop dog Mingus), and Prashanthi the owner is so genuinely nice - it’s such a welcoming environment. The coffee is really good and they have Macrina pasteries which are always delicious!

How have we not been here yet? I'm ashamed of myself. Walked in, the only person there was a friend. ??♀️ The coffee was absolutely delicious. It felt a lot like going to a friend's house, and we will definitely be back.

Breve, Ristretto, and Americano was $15 and 20% tip makes $18 total. If an Americano is $3 that makes the Breve $6-9 and Espresso $6-9. Hmm. Well, for the quality of the coffee and foam it was worth it IMO. However... *duhn duhn duuuhn!*... the cafe is very, very dirty. And I don't mean dirty as in there's a little dirt from doggos here and there, I mean it's covered in layers of dirt, grime, Infinity Gauntlet dust, dog hair, and what I'm assuming is literal hippie granola. In complete honestly I was worried about bed bugs after sitting down on the cushions (yeah, that level of yuck). I say that in the kindest way possible because the trainee Barista was supes nice and made a mean espresso (with the added difficulty of explaining a hemp milk breve to the barista and the owner [who was as dishy as ever]). But, the ambiance inside the cafe was closer to a homeless encampment than a cafe. Went here almost daily a decade ago and sadly my standards have risen to where I refuse to risk an incurable disease just to get my morning coffee, no matter how good the foam, beans, or espresso is. Location needs a nuclear level cleaning and redecorating. But again, fantastic coffee.
