This place slapped, 10 out of 10, everything we ordered was of the freshest quality and authentic origin. Hands down one of the best Japanese spots in Seattle!! Order the beef sukiyaki!
The black cod collar w/ miso was insanely good — super flavorful, perfectly cooked, and basically the kind of dish you keep thinking about after you leave. The takoyaki was also a win: crispy outside, soft and creamy inside, and just straight-up addictive.
Vibes are cozy and classic (in a cool, lived-in way), and the staff were friendly and on it.
Only meh moment for us was the unagi kama meshi — it was fine, but compared to the cod collar...

I tried Maneki for dinner. Service was exceptional, food was fantastic the main dining room is a little worn and tired. I'm sure if you had one of the tatami rooms and didn't mind sitting on the floor, you would give the atmosphere a 5. I had the Sakura salad (delicious) otoro nigiri or super fatty tuna belly(amazing) and the black cod collars (good but lots of bones and messy)
