Marjorie was once a favorite destination of ours for many years until our most recent visit. The waitperson was awful. Inattentive and left waiting for 20 minutes before we flagged her down to take our drink order. It only got worse from there. When we tried to provide feedback that the service was lacking we were told that we were being threatening. Wow. Some people can’t take any feedback. Anyhow, we might as well have served ourselves for the complete lack of service and disdainful attitude we were given. We have actively redirected multiple group dinners to other restaurants as a result. Sad. We really used to love this place.

What a perfect little place. The ambiance with the brick, steel, and soft lights make the restaurant so cozy and welcoming. We shared the plantain small plate with three dips- was delicious. We also shared the scallops - this was a whole other level- amazing textures and taste with the roast pineapple. My final meal was the ricotta gnocchi - delicious!! I had the "purple rain" cocktail- perfection.

Marjorie was recommended to us by a friend and I'm so glad that we followed through. It was simply amazing. So flavorful, handcrafted, beautiful ambiance. We love that there were so many options for vegetarians and we didnt have to sacrifice any flavor for personal choices. Some highlights: butter beans (there is pork in them), burrata, jerked tofu, and mushroom risotto. They have a cute patio that has been designed to feel quaint and cozy despite being in front of an apartment building. The inside is just as quaint with little details that make it extra cozy. Service was fantastic.

Have always enjoyed dining at Marjorie, however, it had been a few years. We were thrilled to find they had an outdoor table available on short notice. Our waiter was A++++ - attentive, friendly and helpful. The j*** chicken skewers and the burrata with peaches and grilled bread were absolutely delicious. The halibut with black lentils and broccoli was innovative and beautifully plated, although the halibut was a bit overcooked. Otherwise, a perfect dining experience.

A true redemption tale: I remember eating at Marjorie a number of years ago and being not so impressed. I don't remember what it was I didn't enjoy, so I won't hold it against them. After all these years I went back and had such a great meal I regret staying away for so long. I confess, I don't really know the back story of this place but as soon as you look at the menu, it's apparent that Caribbean cuisine is their specialty, so we went straight to their classics: Plantain chips (with some particularly impressive dipping sauces), Jamaican j*** chicken (the highlight was the sweet potato puree base), the steak (I only sampled off my partner's plate, but it might be the best restaurant steak I can remember), and the bread pudding (a good end to the meal but not a standout compared to the rest). Prices are on the high side here, but I found the service to be on par with the price. It's definitely not an everyday dinner kind of place but a good treat for a special occasion.

One of the most perfect places to eat in Seattle! I took my family and they loved it!! We even got to meet the owner and she was the kindest soul!! The food is mouth watering down to every last bite! I ordered the j*** chicken!! Just writing this review thinking about it has my mouth watering! Lol I highly recommend this little gem for good meal!

On July 27 we had reservations at Marjories for dinner for a party of three outside. We were staying downtown in Seattle and took a Uber to the restaurant. Upon arrival I noticed the restaurant was approximately 10% filled. We asked the Host/ Waiter for a table outside away from the street. He indicated he could not give us the table we wanted because it was a table for four. You should know that the tables in question were all the same exact size all he had to do was move any chair to make a table for three to four.. He made no effort to accommodate us or say he was sorry or give us any other options. Instead he wanted us to sit at the table near the sidewalk. As a New Yorker we have been to many fine restaurants and most if not all are willing to accommodate its customers. We got the impression take this table or leave. We were looking forward to some soul food, after eating at so many other restaurants in downtown Seattle. He made no concerted effort to accommodate us in anyway, Consequently we had no alternative but to leave, which resulted in us standing on the corner for approximately 10 minutes waiting for a Uber to take us back downtown. On the way out I couldn't help but notice the sign on the window; "Black Lives Matter, the treatment I received seem incompatible with the sign. I couldn't help thinking about the song "hit the road Jack iand don't come back no more" I was surprised that the restaurant with only 10%! capacity did not try to Accommodate us. We never had a chance to enjoy the Soul Food! I personally would not recommend this restaurant. Poor service or lack there of and poor customer service attitude.

I ordered the hamburger with no extras and it came with cheese. I told the server but was charged nonetheless. Mediocre burger at best. Nothing to write home about.

Marjorie has leveled up to on of my favorite restaurants in the city. Why? Because it has it all! Friendly staff. Excellent food. Great drinks. And best of all a really fun community vibe. It's the place to be! And if you're lucky Donna the owner will personally welcome you and spend some time Getting to know you. Shout out to my fave bartender Richard! See y'all there soon.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner here during a recent trip to Seattle. Service was fabulous. Has a relaxed vibe that is great for dinner with friends or a date. The food was very good. Would definitely recommend

I'd say food at Majorie is just okay with a mix of western and pan-Asian cuisine. The drinks were definitely the highlight (favorite was the paper plane). The bartender / wait staff was absolutely on point for the night that we were there - singlehandedly serving 8 tables all by themselves. Bravo and deserved all the tips!
