Food was delicious and very authentic. Service only suffered because of language barriers. Decor and furniture could definitely use some taste and updates but the people were all very friendly and welcoming despite cultural differences.

Vegetarian options: We shared a vegetarian tray I especially enjoyed the collard greens, one selection was spicy but tolerable. Be careful of the red spice powder it is not for the light hearted

I came here with a big group as the only vegan and ordered a veggie combo. They asked if we wanted to plate everything together and I requested that the veggie combo be kept separate, which they did. Overall the food was good. The shiro and gomen wot were my favorites since they had the most flavor. The Atakilt was comparatively a bit bland. Much has changed. This used to be our favorite Ethiopian restaurant when the customer service was attentive and friendly and the food was flavorful and rich. Now, one can barely catch the eye of the young woman hostess and the food is somewhat dry and lacking in flavor. I so much want this once favorite spot to reclaim itself as one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. Crossing my fingers.
