Would loved to have been able to sit with my date rather than across from her. Not a complaint but a simple comment. Loved everything about Matt's. Thank you for a wonderful night
Great food, the meal we had we could share between the two of us. The staff was extremely friendly, kind and fun. I highly recommend.
Food was delicious. Restaurant was completely understaffed. There was no one at the bar, waiters were making their own drinks. Service was soooo slow and we had to get up to the service station and get our own water because of it. Multiple tables sat around waiting for their checks. Don't blame the servers, just completely understaffed. One employee said it is ALWAYS like this when we made a comment about the understaffing.
This is a go-to spot for me and a nice oasis from the throngs of people downstairs at the Market. Had the fish sandwich and a cup of seafood chowdah yesterday: Both great, both delicious. They know how to prepare seafood at this joint! Best part was the friendly and attentive bartender (forget his name, but a mustached hipster from Dallas...) who knew everything about the menu and provided great guidance and service. Great meal and I'll be back many more times.
My group had a wonderful time at Matt's as usual, we love this place. However, my one complaint is that the spicy chicken sandwich barely had any chicken in it. I've ordered it before many times, and it was not the same. There were literally 2 bites of chicken in a giant bun.
Great location with a view of the market , harbour, cruise ships. Server was very pleasant, and food arrived fairly quickly. The burger was good, sandwich was very tasty. Only miss were the fried oysters, which I usually love. These were not great.
Just an expensive tourist trap, changed a lot since I ate at Matt's 10 years ago... not the same
The level of service is exceptional. Everyone made sure we had a good experience. The food, as always was delicious.
My husband had the best Pork Reuben! I was envious with my Fishwich. Views overlooking the market are always absorbing. Staff never falters. We love this place, especially for taking out-of-town friends, but also for lunch or dinner for just the 2 of us. RELIABLE!
Absolute perfection. Just visiting Seattle and two people recommended Matt's. They were right!

Just moved here from Denver and have been back 3x. My fave restaurant so far! Get the seafood stew, it's SO good.
Love this quaint lovely restaurant across the street and above Pikes Market. dine here every visit to Seattle, food is terrific, nice wine selections and great service, .
We normally absolutely love Matt's. But we usually go for lunch. Dinner was very different for some reason. The service was extremely slow and inattentive. The dinner menu was so different from lunch, mostly all seafood that was incredibly overpriced. We got cheese platter, bread, seafood stew, confit pork, and roasted beets salads. Nothing tasted amazing like it usually does at lunch time. Not sure if there were different chefs in the kitchen, or just an off night.
We had a great lunch at Matt's in the Market! Great spot in the Market and the food was outstanding. The music was a little odd for a Sunday brunch but it seemed like it changed maybe after they heard us talking about it. Great service too, would definitely recommend!
A special spot within Pike Place Market with views of Elliott Bay. Food is unique and exceptional. Service was great.
