I lived here freshman year 1982, and worked in the downstairs cafeteria. Loved the quad double rooms setup with living area and private balcony. We had some great parties! Kinda cool to see McMahon hasn't changed in 42 years, but not so certain I'd want to live there now, for the same reason ?
Would be nice to have a kitchen
HFS DOSENT WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT IT COSTS 8 DOLLARS TO LIVE HERE. I live behind the desk in the 8 8/10 reccomend and if you hide in one of the cabinets down there you can stay over night.
Heaters don’t work, pretty old fashioned and a lack of good facilities. Also the elevators started malfunctioning and they take forever to fix it. Don’t live here!
I Was Only Walking By To The Huskies Football Game... What A BEAUTIFUL Area...Usually Polite Younger Adults...Did I Mention ABSOLUTELY Beautiful Scenery...
Very old and dingy building. No longer has restuarant or weight room, and some shared rooms have stacked bunk beds.
Mcmansion
McMahon hall is open
International short-term English course students will live in this old dormitory. It has few facilities and single rooms without private bathrooms. It is not recommended to live in because of the severe musty smell. (Not living in Willow Hall)
Older building and cheaper rooming at uw. The location is excellent on campus for many majors. There are exercise facilities, pool tables, and gathering spaces on the bottom floor, parking underneath with a basketball court. Quiet Study rooms. Rooms are in a cluster with a living room and a balcony with awesome lake, sunrise, and mountain views on the east side. Desks are big in this hall, and you'll meet down to earth roomies who will forgo frills for economy.

I lived in McMahon Hall over 2 decades ago (class of 2000). Back then you had a choice:"You want a smoking cluster, or non smoking cluster?" Id be very surprised if thats an option now ! Lot of good memories, when I toured the campus last week.
Not the worst dorm UW has to offer but I would not recommend living here due to safety issues
it’s not that bad like the communal shower is not ideal but the individual desks are big and the closets are big and it’s very home-y so as long as u decorate well it’s really not bad
Lovely place to live in Seattle with fair prices on rent!
i was actually sick for nine months from the mold in this dorm would not recommend
