The produce section is classic, nostalgic, and fresh. The sweet bread was freshly made, with options like Polvorones. The butcher shop also had traditional options for Latin food. As others have mentioned, the owners are very kind and friendly.
My mom passed away two years ago. Since then I moved to Seattle and I have cooked what she has taught me at home, but it never quite tasted the same, until I had Mendozas Mercado. Eating here, I was home. Gracias Mendozas Mercado, your food and your space is both welcoming and authentic. Thank you for the healing dishes, my mother would be very happy to see me this happy again. See you again soon!!
