A Hidden Gem Worth Supporting!
Meskel Ethiopian Restaurant is a true gem! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The injera is soft and perfectly tangy, and every dish is packed with authentic Ethiopian spices. The staff is warm, welcoming, and makes you feel like family. Places like this bring so much culture and heart to the community — they deserve all the support they can get. Please give them a visit!
It was absolutely the most delicious meal i have had in such a long time ! I went with the family and we had the best customer service and can’t wait to be back :)
Absolutely delicious Lamb Tibs! The lamb was tender and perfectly seared, served sizzling with colorful sautéed onions, peppers, and tomatoes that added both flavor and freshness. The portion was generous and beautifully presented on a bed of soft injera that soaked up all the rich, spiced juices. A flavorful, authentic Ethiopian experience I’d gladly have again!
Meskel’s will always be my favorite! I’ve always loved eating here since I was in middle school. (About 20 years) I hope this place lasts forever❤️
We LOVE bringing friends and family to Meskel for authentic Ethiopian food friendly to vegans, vegetarians, and gluten free diets. Everyone can find something delicious to eat here! The portions are generous and meant to be shared family style best enjoyed dining in the warm homey atmosphere. The outdoor garden patio is lovely for gathering in the summertime!
I came here because it was highly recommended by someone who said this is their favorite Ethiopian restaurant in Seattle, and the food lived up to its reputation! I will definitely be back!
My first time eating Ethiopian food and it did not disappoint! The Doro Tibbs was amazing, super flavorful. Cook/server/host was delightful and funny. Will return to try other dishes.

I LOVE this place. The owner and chef, Bibi, is such a kind person and makes the most incredible food. I only ever go here for Ethiopian food. I recommend the Shiro!
I have also ordered bigger orders for parties and Bibi makes it so easy to pick up and everyone loves the food.

So delicious!!! The veggie platter was an easy choice, and it was enough for 3 of us. Great price at $25 ish. Will definitely be going back.

This is the best tasting Ethiopian food in Seattle, hands down. I’ve eaten at many of the other Ethiopian restaurants in town and the spice blend here is the most complex and deep that I’ve had. It’s just so good. Get the veggie combo and green chicken.

We love this restaurant! BB is the sweetest woman. She remembers me and my adult children every time we pop in for a meal and creates the most delicious veggie combo.
