If congee were a religion, this place would be the holy land. I came for a warm bowl of comfort and left questioning every other congee I’ve ever had.
The noodles? Silky little strands of happiness. The fish cakes? I would fight a small bear for another bite. And the chili oil? So good it probably has its own fan club.
Great noodles and congee
I like restaurants that specialize. This place specializes in noodles and congee. I had the beef brisket noodle, my daughter had the taro congee, and my wife had the pumpkin congee. Cash only.
Very reasonable priced authentic Chinese noodles. We loved it. CASH ONLY!!
Great noodle and dumplings soup
Though cash only.. I would always come back. The congee is authentic.. suikiau is also very tasty. I come w family regularly to this gem.
Taste of authentic Hong Kong
Listen this is a proper Chinese noodle house. Go here eat! Enjoy real Chinese food! Don’t be a dick.
The service attitude was very poor, and they aggressively demanded tips. Not recommended.
This is a great place for a quick bite of congee or noodles. Small non-fancy place with efficient service. Cash only. I come for my favorite comfort food!

Always a great place to grab a quick bite though not a cheap eat. Cash only. Wait can be long during usual meal time. Have had many of the items and they are all pretty good. I like the fish balls/paste. I think it's an all female crew, a bonus.
Yummy wonton brisket soup and house made fish balls.
This place is a congee institution.
First thing first: this is a cash only place. Come prepared.
There was a time when the congee would sell out well before closing, so you were lucky if you managed to get some at lunch.
The staff can be seen hand-making the amazing wontons at super speed.
Some of the best dishes are the sides of Chinese broccoli and the kidney and liver dish that comes with ginger and cilantro and an amazing soy sauce that includes diced jalapeño peppers.
But you have to try the wonton soup, there are two kinds of dumplings: one is mushroom base and it is incredible. The other pork shrimp is also great.
Congee:
We go for the rockfish and pumpkin congee and highly recommend the chicken congee as well. Sometimes we add the pink vinegar other times the jalapeño soy sauce, and another chili sauce that is incredibly rich in flavor (I've had to figure out exactly what goes in).
Parking is always a challenge in the international district but that's just par for the course. Be awesome to the servers because they are super chill, and tip heavy.
Great hole in the wall place. The brisket noodles are great, as are the porridges.
Best noodle in North America. Close to that in Hong Kong.
