I stopped by Mr. West Café Bar for breakfast without knowing much about the menu, and was pleasantly surprised to see a “Turkish breakfast” listed. I ordered it, and another nice surprise followed — they served a beautifully prepared version of Turkish eggs (çılbır).
What I thought would be just an ordinary morning turned into a real treat, getting to experience the unique flavors of Turkish cuisine in such a well-done way. A wonderful experience that I didn’t expect — highly recommend!
TLDR: good quality sandwiches coffee and salads with counter service and a full bar. Decent friendly service.
Mr West Cafe Bar is a casual suit down restaurant with counter service. Either order through a kiosk or at the counter and they will deliver to the table. Seating is first come first serve. We had a group of ten following a UW game. It was moderately busy but the service was quick and friendly.
The food is small plates, sandwiches and salads. They have espresso drinks and a full bar. We had their grilled cheese (gruyere on sourdough and added ham) and chicken tikka pita. Both were delicious.

Great vibes and really good coffee. A bit on the pricier side.

Our experience at this place was absolutely disgraceful. The staff stared at my girlfriend in a perverted way, then went to the kitchen laughing about it — utterly disgusting and unacceptable behavior. To make things worse, when we raised this with the manager, instead of helping, he smirked and told us it was “normal.” Such unprofessionalism, disrespect, and lack of basic decency is appalling. A business that tolerates this kind of conduct has no respect for its customers and deserves to be called out. Definitely not a place I would ever recommend

The staff here are predatory and completely unprofessional. They harass female customers with their disgusting stares, then go to the kitchen to laugh and make degrading comments. This behavior is vile and unacceptable.
On top of that, their prices are nothing short of robbery. Charging $16 for a single boiled egg—when it used to be two eggs for $11–12—is outrageous. The quality has collapsed while the prices have skyrocketed.
When we confronted the manager and told him we were uncomfortable, instead of addressing the issue he walked aggressively toward us and shouted, “What’s your problem?” This is not only unprofessional but threatening. No customer should ever feel intimidated or unsafe by management in a restaurant.
We used to be loyal customers every morning, but after this disgraceful experience, we will never come back. Stay away from this place if you value respect, safety, and basic decency.

Avocado toast was really good - great coffee as well, it takes a self serve sort of service model - which I thought works out very well especially in the university area. It also opens way earlier than anything else in the U village, good place for grab a quick breakfast and coffee while enjoying your morning walk there.

Super yummy food, good selection of drinks, even some i have never had. You order on a tablet and there is a pickup section so be aware - its a little loud and tables are small so good for casual meetings but I wouldn't bring laptops and books. Place is beautiful

Place has a great vibe and outdoor seating is lovely on a clear day! The food leaves much to be desired. The shakshuka was very tomatoey while not being flavourful, the hummus and pita was below average as the hummus had no salt. The fries are avoidable, we wasted the entire portion as they were dripping wet and soggy with oil. It’s a good place to have coffee maybe but food is missable.

Iced coffee is terrible. I had their coffee several times, so far this is the worst. Self-order at the machine and put a note for iced latte with a little honey and extra ice. It tastes like water barely tastes a coffee.

Definitely recommend this place in the U Village. The place offers both indoor and outdoor seating (plus a bar). The food is great and so if the coffee. We tried their Latte, Mocha, and Americano. Everything tasted great. They designed their aesthetics pretty well with a lot of plants. Customers can also buy one if they like. It’s one of those cafe’s which offers great coffee + plants because it’s a Seattle thing.

Fastastik coffee but damn, get rid of the self service machines! Humans need interaction and don't want fight a machine trying to asking it for just a little vanilla or whatever.
