This location is in my neighborhood and I want to love it because I love the U Village one and interior is beautiful, but the food has consistently been a hit or miss. I wanted Avo toast but they were out of it. I bought one of the refrigerated tuna sandwiches which turned out to be a disappointment with completely soggy bread. Server didn't know how to give a refund and they didn't have any gift cards so I ended up with a ham croissant, which wasn't a healthy choice but I was just hungry at this point. Please work on food inventory management and server training...I think I'm slowly losing interest in this as an option.

Cute quaint atmosphere at this Mr. West location however I wish the customer service was more upbeat and the drinks tasted better. Probably will go elsewhere and I don't recommend this Mr West location.

Love the Mr West in Madrona. Unfortunately they have some sort of fly problem. They are usually hovering around the food however, I used the bathroom today and it was infested. Pretty gross. Absolutely love all of the barista’s btw. Best around.

As an Italian the coffee is so bitter and the coffee beans are burnt. Mamma mia

Sergio's service was horrendous. He messed up the order, and when it did arrive, it tasted terrible. I don't think they have any quality control. Just digging stuff out of a trash bin and serving overpriced garbage. Avoid at all costs. Deceptively, the place looks nice.

This location is okay! Mainly more coffee/drink focused and less food like the one in u village. Super aesthetically pleasing and you could study/work here. Came on Mother’s Day and we wanted a cold brew and hisbiscus tea which they both were sold out of pretty early in the day (11 am). Was no trouble as we ordered something else but was a bummer! The strawberry rhubarb coffee cake is delicious.

Kid-friendliness: Saw plenty families come in!

I would love to enjoy this place but they never have items on their menu. A month ago I went here 2x for a matcha drink and both times they told me “oh we’re out of the matcha”. Today, we came in for the afagato and apparently they don’t carry ice cream anymore. Yet it’s still on the menu. Pretty frustrating… they have all of these yummy things on the menu but 3 strikes you’re out.

I had to ask them to please correct the order because they did something different than what I ordered, when they gave me my order again the late tasted terribly burnt and bitter (and not with the milk I ordered)Bad service

Very cute, community vibes. Nice baristas and excellent matcha latte. Would come back again.

Mr. West has been consistently good across all the locations I’ve visited. I really love their coffee and cafe offerings. The marionberry biscuit was very good. Their Madrona location is much smaller than the University Village and Downtown locations, so keep in mind during busy times that seating is very limited at this one. The staff was friendly as well.

Menu says all day, but at 2:40pm they were only offering baked goods and said the kitchen had closed. What are the real hours?

Friendly place is perfect for quick in-and-out visit or for lingering longer over excellent coffees.

We thought we would try to get a coffee and pastry here today. There was someone standing at the counter talking to the person working. They were blocking access to the menus, and when we said excuse me they moved a little but not enough to get a menu. They kept chatting and neither the customer or the clerk or the other person working did anything or said anything like, "Oh I would love to keep chatting but I have other customers." Nothing. Then, the customer who didn't seem to care whatsoever that we were waiting behind them finally decided to place their order. We then looked at the pastries in the case and we saw there were many FLIES inside the pastry case! Disgusting. We just left. Neither of the clerks said a word. Very disappointing. The rude entitled customer is not the café's fault, but the staff's lack of attention and customer service coupled with the flies on the pastries? Unacceptable. Would never go back or recommend this place.ETA: King County gave them a Good, but look at the violations.
