I stopped by for an espresso and it was delish. It came with soda water that hit the spot. The staff were kind and responsive. Inside was quiet enough that I felt more comfortable making a phone call outside, where there is one table and a small seat.

Every time i enter this shop it feels like an imposition to the barristas. Very odd service vibeology, I’ve started to just go down the street instead.
It’s a cute space though if you can handle the above.

Coffee is solid and decor is real nice but man is the service here rough. I’m pretty easygoing but it seems like staff really just doesn’t want me there. Ive also asked about allergens for seasonal drinks a few times (girlfriend has some allergies), and have been told “I don’t know and there is no way for me to find out” every time except one, when I was given actively incorrect information.
I know food service is a tough biz but this place manages it much worse than most.

Of the 3 stars in this review, one is for the atmosphere - beautifully designed. One for the coffee, and one for the service. I've been going here since it opened (discovered Mr West at UVillage where I still go). I don't understand why the service here acts like I'm interrupting their backstage chats because I want a latte. I'm made to feel like an inconvenience despite the 20% I leave every time. I just don't feel welcome. So, I'll be getting my coffee at the High Spot Cafe a block away where they already greet me lik I'm an old favorite. And the coffee is better!

Pastries are nice and not overly sweet, but I wish they’d use whole wheat flour instead of white flour. The Seattle Fog was terrible - I threw it away. Sitting is not accessible and very limited because there are only a few crowded tables and people sit there and work for hours.
love the salted maple toffee latte! the espresso is delicious, well rounded and balanced. the barista was very sweet and the atmosphere is very cozy. definitely want to come back again!

This location is in my neighborhood and I want to love it because I love the U Village one and interior is beautiful, but the food has consistently been a hit or miss. I wanted Avo toast but they were out of it. I bought one of the refrigerated tuna sandwiches which turned out to be a disappointment with completely soggy bread. Server didn't know how to give a refund and they didn't have any gift cards so I ended up with a ham croissant, which wasn't a healthy choice but I was just hungry at this point. Please work on food inventory management and server training...I think I'm slowly losing interest in this as an option.

Cute quaint atmosphere at this Mr. West location however I wish the customer service was more upbeat and the drinks tasted better. Probably will go elsewhere and I don't recommend this Mr West location.

Love the Mr West in Madrona. Unfortunately they have some sort of fly problem. They are usually hovering around the food however, I used the bathroom today and it was infested. Pretty gross. Absolutely love all of the barista’s btw. Best around.
